The WonderSwan Color version of Final Fantasy II included completely redone graphics in the manner of the 16-bit generation Final Fantasy games and includes larger character sprites, remixed music by Tsuyoshi Sekito, and full graphical backgrounds in battle mode. It is from this base that the international version of Final Fantasy II began to take shape.

I really enjoyed this game! It has the opportunity to grind if you are searching for one. The story is really good, and you get alot of options with game characters that the storyline gives to you. Being able to play this beautiful piece of such a big legacy, I truly enjoyed becoming the warrior of light and stepping into my own to eradicate the darkness <3
archived for now, will probably go back to it, i liked it a lot but just wasnt in the mood to keep playing lol

Great game to play on windows phone. Probably the best of the Nintendo FFs.
Continuing my mainline Final Fantasy adventure!

Love the soundtrack for this game, I love Urimatsu's work so much. Diving into this game blind, it was a little jarring, but not too difficult. I loved the idea of leveling up your abilities as you use them versus having a traditional level system; which in my mind further customizes your character's job class so to speak. Having the words for the storyline was a different twist to the game, to which I do not think it detracted from. The one issue I did have with the game is the lack of inventory space you have. It was a downgrade in my opinion from the final fantasy 1 NES version. I would rather buy my potions individually than to share a limited item pool with my key items and my consumables not stacking at all... Also, the Dragoon in this game was for some reason changed.. kept the title but class-wise held more importance to a sword and shield like the other warrior classes. (fortunately as an easy fix is just to level up spear and forego the shield and sword). Story-wise was definitely an improvement from final fantasy 1, as story is sprinkled throughout the game. In contrast, this game was more linear and punished you for exploring too early in places, not to say it wasn't impossible, just made clear that you weren't supposed to be there at that point in time.
