Final Fantasy 13 was my holy grail for years. I remember my brother buying it back when it was released on ps3 and I just have memories of me playing a little at the start and being flabbergasted by the graphics. Since then I always had a deep desire to play it. I was kinda hesitant to play it,because it gets LOADS of hate, but I know better than trusting the ff community.
I absolutely adore the combat of this game, it kinda takes its time before its fully materialised ,but I enjoyed it from the start. The paradigm system is amazing,it feels satisfying to use and there is enough strategy behind it. That being said I mostly enjoyed playing as Lightning ,but the others were fine as well. I'm in favour of the fact that for the first half of the game, the party members are chosen by the game ,because that helped experiencing these characters, who I would ignore. The game is pretty linear for the most part, but opens up later on. I'm fine with linear games ,so I didn't mind it at all,it kinda fits the game,as its linearity didn't really break immersion unlike ff16,as we actively watched the characters travel. Going to Gran Pulse for the first time felt grand and those huge lizards were cool af. Bosses aren't really memorable truth to be told and fighting Eidolons got boring after the first 2 times, but I was impressed during the Odin fight, which was the first. The summon system is great, I love how they have those 2 modes and are freaking transformers. My end game party was Lightning ,Vanille and Hope. Reusing Barthandelus 3 times was really tiring and honestly at least the 2nd time it kinda felt like there was no reason for the fight to be there. The final boss was cool at least, I enjoyed the Orphan fight. Also holy moly does this game look great for something released in 2009 and the cinematics are cool as hell ,especially the one when they return to Cocoon.
The story ,while it's pretty good, it has some presentation and pacing issues as well. Gran Pulse arc for example didn't feel as important as it could,it was kinda underwhelming even. The cast is likeable and memorable, not anything great, but more than serviceable. I love Lightning, she is kinda the typical Final Fantasy protagonist ,but her design is probably one of my favourites ever and she has some development. My second favourite has to be Vanille ,her being a supposedly hyper cheerful ,but hiding a deep burden inside her, which is being the previous Ragnarok and causing all that destruction. Sazh was also pretty good ,I really liked his arc. Snow while cool ,he was kind of a cringelord at times with his whole hero stunt. Hope was also not my cup o tea for a while, but he became fine. Fang was just cool and her deep desire to protect Vanille was commendable. The antagonist wasn't good unfortunately,he wasn't entirely bad,but pretty whatever.
All in all,it's a pretty good game honestly,it has flaws, but it's still a high quality experience.
Equipo y mejoras: confuso, poco intuitivo y nada satisfactorio.
Joguem
I heckin loved playing this game. I only hated traveling to side quest locations.

ACABEI – 2026
