The original Fable was the very first game I ever pre-ordered and was also the first game that I stood in line for at a Gamestop at midnight to get my copy. Many years have passed since then, and the devs even decided to give us a "Remastered" version of Fable: The Lost Chapters. However, even I had to take off the nostalgia goggles for a while and see that, sadly, the first Fable does not hold up in certain regards to better RPGs that have come after. But, it is still a fun and funny jaunt through a satirical Britian; an experience that is hard to come across in this industry, even today.

Even though it's known as "baby's first puzzler" in certain circles, this game oozes personality and tries to subvert expectations (in an actual GOOD way) to set itself apart from other puzzle games. Not to give anything away, but the cake is definitely NOT a lie!
