Really cute and fantastic game to play with your boyfriend/girlfriend! It was a wonderful bonding experience with my boyfriend and it was amazing to see in action just how well we can bounce off each other and work together. Not that we didn't already know that before but still! The story was heartbreaking and all too real for many people, but really well done for the most part. My biggest complaint really is just the ending. It felt far too sudden, quick, and left up in the air. At the very least I feel we should've gotten a post-game/credits short showing things a month or two later, where what our characters learned throughout the game is being applied and them healing together. Visuals were fantastic! I can't get over how cute and well-crafted our main characters were. Gameplay overall was great! The variety of puzzles to solve were really fun and well made. Very few bored me or felt under-done. I found myself enjoying every challenge and figuring it out with my boyfriend was such a great experience. It's been long enough I don't currently remember too much about the soundtrack but I do remember many bits being fitting and overall good and enjoyable. I feel like if any part of it was bad I would remember. TL;DR Great game! Highly recommend for couples. You can learn a lot about each other just by playing this together.

I'm a huge fan of Hazelight Studios work and this was a brilliant instalment of their split screen gimic. It's a really fun idea but the story was hard to keep with due to the characters. For example the 'Book of Love' was an overly irritating and stereotypical character that was constantly popping out of nowhere adding nothing to the story development! Made me want to skip the story all together at times which I couldn't do as there was no option to, which made replayability a real gruelling task. Whilst a lot of this game was exceptionally and brilliantly thought out and executed, some parts just didn't quite fit in the mould. Brilliant game overall to play with your partner.

It Takes Two was more than just a game.. it was a beautiful, emotional journey that I got to share with my boyfriend. From hilarious chaos to breathtaking moments, every part of it brought us closer together. We made an amazing team.. laughing, yelling, solving puzzles, and supporting each other through every level. It was proof that love and teamwork can conquer anything. 🎮️
