So the challenge is pretty straight forward. I have to beat the whole game with no upgrades. This means that I can't spend any of my skill points from leveling up ( except from the first skill point that you are forced to use), I can't make new gadgets or upgrade accesible ones( forced to make upshot gadget) and finally can't upgrade suit techs. The most challenging sections of the challenge were . 1) Tunnel fight. The first encounter with the hunters while the simbiote is controling Pete and you play as Miles. I don't know why I had such a hard time on that one. I think there were too many anti-air electric thing that the hunters were throwing at me. 2) Hunters room. When Miles is trying to escape from the villa ,after being captured by the hunters , there is a room that you have to do a Point Launch (L2 + R2) to get through a gap to that room. The are a lot of hunters to face plus a shield bearer at the end. 3) Kraven phase 2. Not only is the bastard hard on his own, now he has a bell that I have to be consernt about, a sniper that takes my whole lifebar away AND he calls 3 hunter beasts twice in that section. I discovered that he didn't like pressure that much so every time he did a souls roll I could web strike to interrupt him get a few more hits in there until he does the smoke bomb move that is impossible to avoid , making him invinsible. 4) Subway/sewer simbiote room. The room that you play as Pete when you go after the meteor while Miles is saving Hailley. That encounter is easily the hardest room in the game. there are too many simbiotes that attack from everywhere and cause 50 damage, with no gadgets to get rid of the green simbiotes and no abilities available because you used them all to fight the big simbiotes before heading into the subway. I had to zip and dodge all the time to stay in the air so that my webs would refill. 5) Venom phase 2 and 4. Phase 2 is hard because you have to fight off green simbiotes while also trying to avoid Venom from hitting you. You have to kill enough simbiotes to refill your abilities to get rid of the extra life bar that Venom get twice on that phase ( it's not really extra life because you deal the same portion of that health to him automaticly afterwards but is more difficult than normal because normal attackes don't do much against Venom).The final phase is hard because you have to be consistant even more, as Venom takes even less damage. Also the last part that Venom uses his wings again is weird because the projectiles are slow making me dodge early which meant that I took damage from that and the first from the 3 venom punches is weird to read when it is coming up some times. There were times that he was doing the move right infront of my face which is not normal because the way he does that every other proper time is by flying backwards and then he does it. I don't know what was up with that. There were a few times that the dodge was't working that well , some yellow attacks when you tried to jump to avoid them were not working and the parry timing is so small which is not a bad thing , just a disclaimer. There were also time that I would get hit but my health wouldn't go down but the opposite also happened. Finally I 100% completed the game with just 2 mysterioms silver rank ( don't get hit which was possible but I just got bored and the "defeat all enemies" , the one with poisson gas at the second half. This one is impossible to get a gold rank) . I got gold rank in all the other ones. Consistency was key.
