Before It All Goes Dark... For One Last Second, I'll Know I Wasn't Alone. ================================== Coming back to Cyberpunk 2077 after a break felt fantastic, and Phantom Liberty made it even better. I massively enjoyed the DLC. CD Projekt truly delivered with this one. First off, Idris Elba as Solomon Reed was an excellent addition. He’s one of my favorite actors, and his performance was nothing short of great. The story was gripping, and this time around, I was curious enough to see every single ending.. The new district, Dogtown, was a refreshing change from Night City; it felt more lawless and militarized, which fit perfectly with the expansion’s espionage themes. The added side content, vehicles, and gameplay enhancements were all welcome additions, making the world feel even more alive. And just when we thought they were done, CDPR dropped Update 2.2, adding even more content. At this point, Cyberpunk 2077 has earned its place among the best open-world games. If I had one critique, it’s that Reed and Songbird should’ve been introduced in the main story, it would’ve made the overarching narrative even more impactful. But hey, no game is perfect. The “tower” ending for V was conclusive, and honestly, I think it should be the canonical ending. Rather than dragging V’s story further, I'd love to see a fresh start in a future Cyberpunk installment. One thing I forgot to mention in my main review is how much lore and world-building CDPR has packed into this universe. Between the Netflix anime (Edgerunners), which is one of the few animes I actually watched fully, the comics, and the insane soundtrack, they’ve cemented themselves as a key part of gaming culture. All in all, Phantom Liberty is a fantastic DLC—well worth the price. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Cyberpunk universe.

Pashangwala ================== I went into The Expanse: A Telltale Series completely blind, having never watched the TV show. Despite buying the game when it first came out, I only got around to playing it after all the episodes (and the DLC) had been released. Now that I’ve finished it, I can say that while I enjoyed the experience, I feel like I would have connected with the story more if I were familiar with the show. In the main game, you step into the boots of Camina Drummer, leading her crew through the dangers of space. The narrative is well-written and engaging, but since I wasn’t already invested in The Expanse universe, I didn’t feel the full emotional weight of certain moments. That said, the storytelling is solid, and I can see how fans of the show would appreciate it even more. Like most Telltale games, The Expanse is a narrative-driven experience with decision-making at its core. It’s essentially a walking sim with dialogue choices, though some of them don’t seem to have major consequences. However, I really enjoyed the zero-gravity movement. It was a refreshing change from the usual walking mechanics and added a cool layer of immersion. The game sticks to Telltale’s signature art style. A mix of stylized, cartoonish visuals that feel familiar and polished. Performance-wise, I had no issues. Everything ran smoothly across the board, which is always a plus for this type of game. The DLC was a nice little bonus. It didn’t overstay its welcome and felt like a cool extra idea that just worked. TL;DR : the game felt like a playable movie. I enjoyed it, but I know I would have appreciated it more if I had prior knowledge of The Expanse universe. For fans of the show, this game is probably a must-play. For newcomers like me, it’s still a solid experience, but maybe not as impactful.
