Good game. I would really recommend this one as a first soulslike because of the difficulty. IMO, the game was not hard; most of the bosses died after 2–3 tries, so there is no despair — only a cozy playthrough and exploration. But since I’ve played a lot of such games, for new players this one can hit the spot where you don’t suffer but still get a decent challenge.
Most of the things I liked were the progression and the builds. The idea that you can go fully mage while still wielding a big weapon — dealing insane damage with it, parrying, and sometimes bursting with magic — is really refreshing. I’ll definitely play it again before Lords of the Fallen 2!

This is the first non-FROMSOFT Souls-like I have been completed engrossed in from start to finish, in a long time. Incredible world and enemy design, amazing bosses & difficulty one would expect from such games, and a huge variety of weapons, spells, armor, buffs, etc. NPC questlines, intertwining paths and maps, the works. It has all of the similarities and inspiration I would expect from an actual Souls game, but with it's own unique twist which works very well (alternate realms).
Thoroughly enjoyed getting lost and learning my way around, how the systems work, the enemies, learning (and failing) bosses, etc. It brought me right back to same feelings I had while enjoying my first playthroughs of the Souls / Bloodborne / Elden Ring games. If you're a fan of Souls-like games, this is a must play! 10/10.
Zweiter Lords of The Fallen Run

One of my first Souls-like games in a long time, the combat is smooth, the weapons look incredible as well as the armor designs. The story can get a bit fuzzy with all the overlapping character arcs, which you can miss out on if you don't actively pursue them, rewarding in unique dialogue, cinematics, and items but they aren't necessary. The combat is challenging and would love to try playing with a committed partner

Good game. Much better after the update 2.0.
The only observation I have is that the game should have more monster variety as the game progresses.
Still... It is a solid experience. I liked a lot.

“Co-op carried this game for me.”
I went into Lords of the Fallen with an open mind and came out feeling... mixed. On the surface, it’s a solid game — visually stunning with incredible aesthetics. The environments are dark, rich, and atmospheric, and from a purely artistic standpoint, it nails the tone. But once you dig beneath the surface, things start to fall apart.
Let’s talk story. It’s actually more engaging than most Souls games and surprisingly more straightforward. That’s not a bad thing. There's a lot of potential in its world-building and hidden lore, which is genuinely fascinating if you dig into it — but the game doesn’t do a good job of pulling you into that depth. It's there, but buried under gameplay that ranges from mediocre to frustrating.
I played it fully in co-op, and honestly, that’s the only reason I even enjoyed it. Playing solo would’ve been a chore. If you're thinking of getting this, do it on a discount — and definitely use the Friend Pass. Full price? Not worth it.
Combat is fine. Nothing special. Bosses are too easy, and you’ll probably die more from fall damage or janky terrain than from actual enemies. The game rarely challenges you in a meaningful way.
Soundtrack? Okay. Serviceable, but nothing that stuck with me. The ending? Straight-up disappointing. It felt like a buildup to nothing — no payoff, no emotional punch, just... done.
To sum it up: Lords of the Fallen is a beautiful, easy, forgettable game. It had the potential to be great, but settles for being "just okay." Co-op saves it. The lore deserves a better vessel.

Most bosses are forgettable and get reused as normal npcs after (shit idea imo games shouldn't spam bosses as normal enemies one second after introducing them)
I didn't like level design in the game
The Final boss is one of the most disappointing aspects for me even if it is story/lore accurate
