Gameplay
The gameplay is flawless. The combat is absolute peak, so smooth, so responsive. The gameplay loop was also fun and engaging, I didn't feel bored with their approach to open world. There is so much variety in builds for customize the gameplay entirely to how you like to play.
Level Design
Team Ninja took a different approach in level design and went open world versus mission based and it worked! There were things to discover and rewards for exploration which is made fun and left a feeling of accomplishment. When you get into the levels, they're designed as how they designed missions in their past games which still left a feeling of familiarity.
Story
As with previous Nioh's, there isn't much story, but there is story. The way they follow historical events and figures, is really such a refreshing way of telling a story. It makes you want to learn the actual history.
Character Development
You get to see how characters develop through different periods of time which was pretty cool to see. You get to see the goods, the bads, the in between. I really enjoyed it honestly.
Visuals
The visuals are always stunning especially the artstyle in the cutscenes. The world was also very gorgeous. An upgrade from previous Nioh games for sure.
Audio
Audio was great! It did suffer from a bit of terribly quiet sections, but it wasn't as bad as code vein 2, for example, as there were more natural sound noises. The soundtrack was great as always. There were some repeats in music from previous Nioh titles which isn't like the end of the world or anything, but it would've been nice to have something different.
Difficulty
This is much easier than Nioh 1+2, but it is still a Nioh game, so it is still a difficult game. There are many instances where you'll be like "oh right, i'm playing Nioh" after you die. With that said, it's much more accessible and I think much easier to complete than the other two.
Replayability
Nioh offeres some versatility in NG+'s, there are also dlcs promised for the future. You can also choose a different 'class' and/or use different weapons and builds. There is alot you can do differently if you prefer.
Overall, i absolutely loved this game. The issues were minor. There were also some k+m issues specifically with the camera as does most Team Ninja games have. It was extremely annoying to deal with all games, but i didn't dock points for it as that issue wasn't there for controller users and probably can be a simple fix on their end. I cannot recommend this game enough for action game enjoyers.
