A return to form and the first game to be on the dragon engine. Combat felt slicked up and a joy to play as. The story was just heart-breaking; it had me in tears. The platinum is on par with the other Yakuza games in terms of grind to complete.

What an absolute masterpiece of a game I would say! First game technically released in the Dragon engine and they did a great job with it! This one being a Kiryu focused game was a good thing even though I did miss playing as other people a tad! I loved the story and how it ended was super sad to me!

This game is weird, definitely the worst of the Yakuza Games i've played but, I still enjoyed my time to an extent, if you're playing the whole series, this might be a dip in quality, but it's in no way 'bad'

still don't like the dragon engine replacing 0/K1. and this was before K2 so it feels even worse. stupid ass ending, i actually hate how this game ends so much. wish i could spoiler text this and say why. but oh my god i hate it. and it really sucks cause the story up to that point was so good

An awesome game, almost setting up the end of Kiryu's story. The revelation of a certain secret was very underwhelming for me, but it makes sense in terms of plot, I guess. The same elements that are loved in previous Yakuza are still present in this game, and even though the motion controls are not the best, they do provide a different gameplay when interacting with Haruto. A very good entry for the Yakuza series.
