The game from 2010 has been remastered for the PS4 with one of Yakuza 4's main protagonists, Masayoshi Tanimura, being recast and getting a visual makeover. Kamurocho, the entertainment district, is about to be bloodbath again. This time, we have four rising dragons. Each of the protagonists has a different fighting style and each of them has to go through sets of impossible trials to find their destiny. The line between game and reality is further blurred, earlier, in 2009, Sega hosts a beauty pageant, and the seven winners became models of their game avatars. Some of them are bar girls, some are hostesses, visit the "play spots" with them, ask them to date in the spas and sing karaoke with them. The Rising Dragon is looking for a successor, will you be it?

Slighty better than 3 but not by much. Also a terrible port of the game which made the minigames a struggle to complete. The story is one of the weakest in the series, along with 5. With 4 characters to play as, the fighting between them really shows how terrible some characters are.
The platinum was not great but doable.

loved the addition of new characters, connections to the lore of existing characters, but everyone is a scumbag and the character writing is deeply flawed in this one. Justice for women in the Yakuza franchise. should not have played MGS3 following this up

It was 100% a different way to start the game and I guess progress the game then the other 4 I've played but it was still very enjoyable. I really grew to love all the characters that were introduced and they did a good job at making you like them!
Such a good game honestly!

Grabuza 4: Remastered Plot Twists
=====================================
Playing through this 5th installment of the series in chronological order I can without a doubt, say it’s my least favorite so far. Let’s start off with the few good things this game has going for it. It starts off well by doing a great introduction to Akiyama’s character. I guess the combat is a bit better than Yakuza 3...no more annoying blocks and you get to play as 4 characters, each with a unique playstyle which is nice. That’s literally all the good I have to say about the game.
Now onto the bad.... the story is just an utter pile of plot-twist garbage. Like I rolled my eyes so hard at the amount of stupid plot twists this game has. Every character gets shot in the back because they were all stupid enough to leave their enemies lying there with a gun. It’s just awful. The story is irredeemable garbage...by far the worst story in the Yakuza series. Now for the characters.. they just had to have that scene with Saejima and Haruka..like, seriously?? what the hell is wrong with you dev? That’s just gonna ruin Saejima’s character for me forever. And seriously, they couldn’t pick a worse character to have the story revolve around than whatever the girl’s name was. Honestly, this game was a big low point for the Yakuza franchise. I hope it’s the lowest point of the franchise and that what’s to come is better than this.
TL;DR: It’s only worth playing if you want to see the introduction of the 3 new characters and need that Yakuza story continuation.
Overwhelmingly positive my ass ....

The first and imo one of the best yakuza games i've played
Not sure how the story is gonna continue from 3, but I'm excited to see what's next for Kiryu, Morning Glory, and the Tojo Clan!

Bold decision to not start with Kiryu. And it absolutely paid off.
