Vigilante 8 is a vehicular-combat game set in an alternate 1975. Australian terrorist Sid Burn is hired by OMAR to dispose of all competing oil companies in the U.S. so that OMAR can establish an oil monopoly in the country. After hearing reports of destruction by Sid Burn's gang, the Coyotes, a man named Convoy, a kind-hearted trucker, forms a group of his own, the Vigilantes, to combat the Coyotes and stop the tyranny of OMAR.

Um jogo interessante de carro que não envolve competição de corrida mas sim combate com armas de fogo e explosões. É um jogo bem caótico por conta disso mas dá pra se divertir bastante caso pegue pra jogar sem pensar em zerar. A história é limitada por personagem e são vários mas ainda sim não existe um enredo fixo pra você seguir então no final você irá jogar por jogar mesmo. O visual do jogo é até bonito mas por ser de PS1 ele não vai ter gráficos polidos e o estilo "caixa de leite" dos carros pode desagradar alguns. O combate do jogo como dito antes é caótico e a dificuldade fica só em controlar o carro dirigindo e tendo que atacar ao mesmo tempo, fora isso não tem segredo, é bem intuitivo e simples. E a trilha sonora do jogo é o ponto forte, tem muitas musicas com um estilo até bem variado, obvio que pode ficar enjoativo após um tempo mas elas são boas e combinam com o que está acontecendo na hora. O jogo também é curto, depois que você pega o jeito com o personagem que está jogando, tu pode fazer todas as fases com ele em menos de 30min tranquilamente. E a opção de 2 jogadores, caso alguém queira se divertir com alguém junto.
