Crash Bandicoot is the first installment in the Crash Bandicoot series that established Naughty Dog's reputation in the video game industry. Its premises chronicle the creation of the titular Crash, a bandicoot who has been uplifted by the mad scientist Doctor Neo Cortex. The goal of Crash Bandicoot is to traverse several levels in sequence in order to progress. The game is played from a third-person perspective in which the camera trails behind Crash, though some levels showcase forward-scrolling and side-scrolling perspectives. Crash is able to defeat enemies by either jumping on them or using a spinning attack that launches them.

A 3D platformer where you (crash bandicoot) are being experimented on by Dr. Neo Cortex which ends up in failure and you end up escaping and wake up on a beach now you must fight through enemies, jump from platform to platform to take out Dr. Cortex end his evil scheme
Jogo bem desafiador e preciso. Um bom jogo mas não ter um save normal é bem frustrante pois se não conseguir gravar o game nos bônus você se lasca. No demais é um bom jogo e de fato lhe desafio em plataformas.
A classic early 3D platformer that is firmly rooted in 2D design philosophy. Crash Bandicoot has a great sense of humour that is sure to keep you laughing through the challenge. I think this game would be a lot more aggravating if it wasn't so silly, especially with Crash's expressions and yells of "Whoa!" when he dies.
The way this game saves progress is terrible, and I can't imagine why the developers designed it this way. There are 8bit games with better save systems. You have to collect three cards with Tawna on them, which bring you to a bonus level. Finding Tawna at the end of the bonus level lets you save, and gives you a password in case you don't have a memory card. I'm sure some of this setup is derived from the early days of PS1 programming, but Mega Man games have better password systems than this.
Crash Bandicoot has a nice variety of levels from constant jumping across bridges (if not running along the ropes), to riding animals in fast-paced levels, or running towards the screen while being chased by something that kills you. Bosses are simple enough for kids, but challenging enough for adults to be engaged. If you're looking for a simple platformer with a lot of life, this won't disappoint. Crash Bandicoot might be considered tough but fair to some, but I wouldn't say the learning curve is steep. The secret tower level might make you angry, however. It is as long as it is full of traps. You can always revisit easy levels to stash extra lives if something is too difficult.
The original, the og , the one and only, even the remasters doesn't do it really any justice, you don't get the same feeling as when you played this for the very first time. Nothing more to say other than people remember this for reasons that are obvious and the simplified world of gaming with things like the really silly sound effects, doesn't seem to really exist anymore. It's a shame but thats why these games need to be respected for what they are.

Simple to learn but challenging to master is the best way for me to sum up this game. This was my first time with a Crash Bandicoot game and I went for the full 100%. Learning and getting through the game was tough. The way the save system works added a level of stress I wasn't anticipating. Despite that game stayed fun throughout my whole time playing and it is so satisfying to complete a level and claim the gem! Definitely worth the 100%!

The first three Crash games hold a very special place in my little heart. Grew up playing these and it was my first video game ever from what I recall. SUPER GOOD platformer
