Overall Score: 9.4/10 PS5 It's been half an hour since I beat this game and I'm still speechless. I liked the previous games, but not to an extreme extent ,they were just cool,so my expectations for Uncharted 4 were around that level and maybe a little bit more, but holy moly I consider Uncharted 4 to be a perfect game,as there was not a single moment that I felt some kind of dissatisfaction with it. The gameplay is the formula of the previous games, but perfected. Everything feels great from stealth to close combat to gunplay to covering to parkour to exploration in general. The grappling hook was a great addition and felt great. Unlike the previous games ,Uncharted 4 offered an absolute harmony between exploration and action that it never broke. I do not have any favourite levels as they were all great. I felt more free during combat compared to the previous games, I was hooking ,jumping covering ,shooting ,punching during big battles. The final fight was cool af as well. I enjoyed the more open area approach in multiple cases like when we are on the boat exploring little islands around ,while trying to find Libertalia and the ones with the car. Talking about car the car chases were amazing. Oh and last ,but not least ,being able to play Crash Bandicoot first level in game is pretty cool. The story is easily the best one the series has offered , we learn that Nate has an older brother Sam ,who he thought to be dead on a mission the went to find Henry Avery's treasure along with a guy called Rafe. Nathan at that point lives a normal life and works as a diver, but then his brother appears. He survived and was in prison for 15 years and tells him that he got out, because of a big mafia guy who shared his cell and heard about Sam's desire to find Avery's treasure and wanted half of it. If Sam failed to find it ,he would kill him,so Nate is ''forced'' to help, but he as well is very much into it. Sully joins in and they steal from that Rafe a cross which offers a clue to the treasure's location during an auction he was about to win. The journey begins and crazy stuff start happening, Elena finds out that Nate lied to her, about that whole thing and that whole situation creates second thoughts on Nathan's mind. In the end he and Sam find Libertalia (it was so cool seeing it) and the whole lore of it starts to unfold,a civil war beginning there, between the big pirates and the colonists and then among the pirates themselves. After exploring they come face to face with Rafe, who reveals that the mafia guy was dead long ago and had nothing to do with Sam ,it was in fact Rafe who freed Sam with his money,he then shoots Nathan and forces Sam to lead the way. Thankfully, Elena found the injured Nate and helped him ,as stuff keeps on going Nate is seeing that all these stuff are a sickness and do not really matter, I think he really sees that when he and Elena enter Thomas Tew's mansion who was the second in command in that pirate utopia that was made. There they found all the other big pirates being nothing, but mere skeletons. They were poisoned by Avery and Tew ,who gathered them to reconcile. As they search for Sam,they find out that obviously Avery and Tew started to fight among themselves. After they found Sam and Sully(who came to help) ,there is a fantastic scene in which Sam tries to convince the others to go after the treasure, but now Nathan sees through different lenses and insists on leaving that place, few moments later they are split and Sam decides to go after the treasure ,Nathan is forced to follow him alone. He goes in and finds Avery's ship in which the treasure resides and there Sam is laying on the ground, with a log on top of him and Rafe is standing. There also lies Avery and Tew's skeletons with swords stuck in them. Then follows a freaking cool final fight,in which we see that Rafe is jealous of Nathan's achievements, Nathan wins and frees Sam by using a cannon cleverly. They leave and honestly happy ever after. We then see Nate and Elena's daughter and our beloved characters being grown ,which was a beautiful and satisfying ending. I expected Sam to die ,but honestly I'm glad that he didn't. All in all, Uncharted 4 is such a phenomenal game, while it won't be in my top 10 ,I honestly consider it a perfect game, maybe the best one I've played even ,well besides Resident Evil 4 Remake at least. While the other games are flawed I recommend playing them as well, because they enhance the experience of this game for sure.
