The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is an expanded re-imagining of 2013's The Stanley Parable. You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will make a choice, and you will become powerless. You are not here to win. The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.

I love irreverent British humour! As a Monty Python kid, this is the kind of game I love.

It's super funny. The narrator is hilarious and it's really entertaining to see how he reacts to your choices. You can do all sorts of crazy things and it never gets old. Recommend it!

"The Stanley Parable" is, fittingly, a paradoxical game. :)
In terms of gameplay, this is a very simple experience; it is a walking simulator. Points for it being very approachable to non-gamers, as all the player does is walk in the first-person perspective and click things. Depending on the route taken, there can be puzzles, but there seem to be very few puzzles in the game overall. And speaking of "route taken," therein lies the game's depth. On the surface, this game is all about walking & clicking, and that never really changes, but depending on the route chosen by the player, that walking & clicking can lead to some fantastical, funny, or mind-bending locales. The gameplay here is a simple mechanism to interact with more complex objects surrounding the player, and the deeper in to the game the player gets, the more interactive the setting may become. This concept, of utilizing a simple control scheme to interact with what feels to be a complex world, is one aspect to this game's paradoxical nature.
Story is the other, and larger aspect, of this game's paradoxical personality. Everywhere the player goes, and nearly everything the player does, is narrated by a disembodied voice. Thankfully, his is a nice voice to listen to, usually calm and soothing, provided the player sticks to the script by perusing the prescribed pathways. If strictly followed, then this game can likely be beaten in about 15 minutes. However, there is so much more. This game has multiple endings, multiple middles, and more areas to explore than imagined, with narration following along the entire time. What appears to be a simple story on its surface, is really just the first page of a book, and the player will need to return to the tale's beginning to prance through its other permutations. Luckily, each unique path feels rewarding enough to explore, and replayed areas leading up to a point of divergence are never too lengthy to be aggravating to replay (meaning it never takes too long to re-reach an area and do something different to see the result).
Gameplay is simple, and not in a bad way.
Visuals are fine.
Story is a gem, enjoyable in every aspect, through & through.
Soundtrack can be quite good, depending on which tracks the player can trigger.
In order to rate higher, I would've liked to see more varied endings on both sides of the spectrum. I would've like to see even more fantastical endings, and boring endings, perhaps dramatic endings, or horrific endings. As-is, the game likes to keep things light and comical, and that's fine, but I'm always a bigger fan of having the heartstrings strummed, if only a little.
While not a masterpiece, this is a great game and an exceptional interactive narrative experience. :)
Streamed on Mondays.

j'ai pas été jusqu'au bout des cinquantaines de fin que le jeu propose, parce que je me suis juste vraiment ennuyée — concept très cool, mais imho mal vieilli
