Звёздновойнский слэшер про тайного ученика Вейдера получил неплохой сюжет. Но "гений", который придумал камеру на боссфайтах, надеюсь больше не занимается играми.

This is a replay that I've been wanting to do because I never got to play the "current-gen" version of this game back in the day. I think I played the PSP/PS2 version of this and remembered watching the cutscenes from the PS3/XBOX360 versions and thinking how much better it looked. That being said... this game did not age well. This game is not very good lmao. I used to think this game was awesome as a kid/teenager but revisiting this has made me think that it was deifnitely just the hype and my love the series that carried me through it. The voice acting is odd at times (i.e. Palpatine pausing to say "and then you will die") and the story is not very good either. It starts out okay but then it kinda loses its narrative pull just feels like random events happening and characters just doing things. Gameplay is also very tedious so I just opted to play on the Apprentice difficulty to avoid the headache. I did not want to put up with the difficulty or the level design and just sped through areas when I could. Going more into the story... it's really stupid how Vader clearly kills Starkiller's father in front of him then pretends to be the good guy a second later by protecting Starkiller from storm troopers. This is never addressed in the story and is really dumb. Also it's funny how Starkiller just immediately has a crush on Juno and during the ending scene the cutscene makes her the one "bright spot" in his mind as if they were in love. They didn't know each other that long and barely had physicaly interaction besides talking. Honestly this story feels like a teenager wrote it, which I guess worked cuz we thought it was good or at least cool at the time. Also, while I was initially upset that these games were made non-canon, this replay has now made me VERY glad that they are. The way that the rebellion is formed in this game is just not good. I'd love to see the character of Starkiller come back in some canon capacity as long as it's detached from what is done in this game, or at least done much better. A lot of this game just feels like odd fan service. Like hey look it's a Sarlac Pit. Hey look it's DARTH MAUL. The latter was cool but also just completely unearned, but getting to hear Duel of the Fates was nice. The DLC was also really neat and I kinda wish these were expanded on because they were more interesting than the base game. Fightingn Obi-Wan's ghost was cool. Depsite all the negativity I've put on here, it's still a mid game which isn't awful. A third would still very much be welcome too because I need closure for the cliff-hanger ending of the second game lmao.
