Star Ocean: The Divine Force is the next installment in the Star Ocean series. The game features a story that blends sci-fi and fantasy, a rich lineup of characters and side stories, a battle system delivering exhilarating combat with easy controls, and more. The βDouble Heroβ system returns in which the story spanning the stars and beyond will unfold from the perspective of each protagonist, one from an advanced civilization (sci-fi) and the other from an underdeveloped planet (fantasy). Events that unfold throughout the story as well as the ally characters you end up with will differ based on the protagonist the player chooses.

Most of the other star oceans have kept me gripped to see all the content (On my old account) But this one breaks that tradition, some times I feel like the developers shouldn't try to fix something that isn't broken. the way star ocean "was" is better in my opinion. The protagonist in this game has zero depth to him, a very lacklustre story and the battle system just doesn't do it for me (Trophies Earned 1/54)
This was my first Star Ocean game. It's a good looking game with main characters that were interesting enough. The story wasn't too bad and the gameplay was exciting and fun. The concept that there were advanced space civilizations next to planets that were still in medieval times was refreshing. I don't think anything about this game is actually bad, but I also don't think anything really blew me away either. It was a solid game and I had fun it.

its not like So3 But it can be save the franchise at least
Was definitely a fun game. Not my favorite in the series and not the best but I did enjoy myself while playing this game.
Sadly, this is not for me.
The gameplay while fast, feels one-note. Some of the characters are very childish-anime, and the story doesn't feel interesting for the first couple of hours.

Alright game. Tried it out cause of PS Plus, and it was like enjoying a B movie. Though... that enjoyment waned through the middle sections of the game, maybe a bit stronger as things started entering the final sections, though in true JRPG fashion, the final dungeons were pretty drawn out. The gameplay was alright, but not too great for me. I ended up spamming the powerful stuff. I was also underleveled and didn't do a lot of optional content, like all the crafting and side quests. Mostly just went through the main story. I did play a good bit of Es'owa, that was fun too at the beginning.

A delightful playthrough for a long time fan. I really hope they continue the series. The most striking features are the soundtrack and the characters.
