Sonic and pals are gearing up for some brawling action! Fight as one of nine characters including Sonic, Tails and Shadow! Knock 'em dead with special attacks and team-based assaults. Create and train fighting partner for 2-on-2 battles. Duke it out with your friends in 4 player battles. It is the second fighting game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the first being Sonic the Fighters. It is also the first Sonic fighting game to be on a handheld.

Sonic Battle é aquele Spin-off que é problemático e ao mesmo tempo até que gostosinho de jogar. Ao contrario do Sonic Fighters, Sonic Battle pode até ser um X1, mas ele brilha no 4-players. Onde geralmente são 10 K.Os no total para o fim da luta. Isso em uma batalha com mais lutadores é legal, mas num X1 fica tão... chatinho... e no modo historia ta repleto deles! Falando no modo historia... O modo historia você segue com todos os personagens da turma do Sonic para reunir as Esmeraldas do Caos. Até ai parece uma premissa básica do Sonic, certo? Mas ai entra o Emerl, um Gizoid que aprende as coisas ao participar de lutas e você customiza todo o moveset dele e que é um personagem que é cuidado como se fosse um bebê e você vai vendo ele crescer conforme ele consegue as esmeraldas até chegar o capitulo final, onde ele é praticamente um adulto. Admito que os capitulos dos personagens "menores" (como a Amy, a Cream) são bem chatinhos por serem praticamente fillers, enquanto a Rouge foi um saco pois ela pede condições especiais pra vencer que são complicadas! E o Shadow que pede pro Emerl sozinho enfrentar TODO MUNDO! [AQUI CONTEM SPOILERS] É muito estranho um jogo do Sonic lidar com morte, não é a primeira vez, eu sei. Mas na primeira vez (e em todas as vezes) o final de Sonic Battle me pegou forte. Um final forte, onde você vê um crescimento e no final... tragédias acontecem. Falando da parte visual, Sonic Battle é LINDO! A pixel-art da serie Sonic Advance (o que inclui o Sonic Battle) é sempre espetacular e merece um destaque para o próprio Emerl que, como ele aprende tudo dos outros, tem sprites pra TODOS OS MOVIMENTOS de todos os outros personagens, com variações até nas maneiras de correr! Os movimentos de todos os personagens são muito bem detalhados e bonitos, merecendo muito a atenção! A música é muito gostosinha de ouvir e ela é sempre variável já que cada fase tem algumas variações de musica, e tem uma quantidade até que favorável de fases. Em resumo: Sonic Battle é aquele spin-off que não é dos melhores, mas é muito gostosinho de você jogar quando você quer jogar um jogo tranquilo. Só é um pouco massante depois de um tempo, de ficar sempre lutando e tendo os 10KOs em X1 (que, ne... 10 KOs em um X1 é muita coisa).

Wanted to revisit this due to all the new Shadow lore going on with Sonic X Shadow and just this year. I really enjoyed this game beside fight Gamma and a few other hard moments for no real reason. Music is great like most Sonic games, customizing Emeral was fun just hard to get the skills you want. Strongly recommend giving it a try if you want to try a Sonic game that is not about going fas
