It's like Returnal perfected. At least, in terms of gameplay. I honestly like the local parry system even more than I did in Dark Ages. Gameplay flow is just incredible in Saros. Also, the game offers some of the best-looking boss fights I've seen so far in the genre. And they not only look good, but feel good to play. Boss moves are perfectly telegraphed through colors and sounds, with so many different gameplay layers during the fights. Truly a bullet ballet, just like the devs described.
The story is good too. I feel like I enjoyed it slightly less than I did in the predecessor, but I really liked how they worked with the "King in Yellow" theme here.
Speaking of cons, there's not much I can personally highlight. I guess the game lacks any replayability, mainly because of the new permanent progression system. It just gets too easy after the story ends, with no real point to replay anything, at least for now. And the weapons arsenal here is quite disappointing, too. I'm hoping for more content to come, so I have reasons to revisit this gem.

I do feel like I had more fun with this than I did with Returnal. But like Returnal the story aspect was a little lacking. I did also find this easier, but that's also because I messed around with the balancing of modifiers, sooooo I guess that's on me.

Fun and addicting! The platinum doesn’t seem to hard to achieve
Saros is simply PEAK. One of my absolute favorite games this year and honestly already one of my all-time favorites. I went in completely blind and had no idea what to expect since this is actually my first roguelike ever. But as a Souls player, the challenge instantly hooked me. It’s hard but fair, and it has that “just one more run” feeling. You genuinely don’t want to stop playing.
The gameplay feels incredible. Smooth movement, intense bullet-hell chaos, super satisfying third-person shooting, and boss fights that feel completely cinematic. Every boss fight was pure adrenaline.
Visually, the game looks absolutely next-gen. It honestly feels like a PS6 game already, especially on the PS5 Pro. The graphics, atmosphere, aesthetic, soundtrack, and overall sound design are completely insane. The entire vibe reminds me of Dune at times. And the DualSense support? Probably the best experience since Astro Bot. The controller genuinely feels alive in this game.
Massive serotonin boost, happy tears, and I was literally shaking from excitement. A masterpiece. The only thing that felt a bit weaker to me was the story, which is why I’d give it a small point deduction. Still an absolute 9.5/10 game. GOTY material!

Saros me encantó.

Great story roguelite
Combat got me addicted to this game. Finished it once, then finished again for the secret ending. The story didn't hit as hard as it did in Returnal, but it was good enough to keep me interested into exploring more.
Visually, it's beyond phenomenal. And anything that's inspired by The King in Yellow has my attention, to be honest.
