Silent Hill 2 Remake is a ground-up reimagining of the 2001 psychological horror game. It follows James Sunderland as he searches for his deceased wife in the fog-shrouded town of Silent Hill. Eine der besten Remakes die ich je gespielt habe. Story absolut toll, die Umsetzung ist Wahnsinn. So viel Symbolik, so viele Detail. Danke BLOOPER für dieses Meisterwerk, ich habe jede Minute genossen. 5/5 Pfoten 🌟

I'd never played a Silent Hill games before. I'd heard a lot about them, both good things, especially the first four, and bad things about all the subsequent ones. For me, the series has always been less about horror and enemy combat like in Resident Evil, and more about the protagonist's psychological trauma and their attempts to overcome it. I generally liked the combat system. It's not perfect, of course, but it's hard to imagine how it could have been improved with such a small budget. This isn't The Last of Us Part Two, which had a near-perfect melee combat system. The musical score constantly keeps you on your toes, as does the radio that plays through the gamepad speaker, alerting you to the presence of nearby enemies. The enemy design is simultaneously frightening and captivating. The encounter with Pyramid Head and the nurses alone is truly remarkable; everything here is beyond praise. The locations are good at the same time, because you can compare the real world and the other world, but on the other hand, you have to run around the same locations and you want a little variety. I'd recommend this game to fans of the series and anyone who enjoys good action horror games. It's a worthy remake and a great return to the series!

This game takes a while to get going. The beginning feels like a little bit boring and nothing really is happening. After some time though it is really nice! Loved a lot of their puzzles/riddles and the monsters are (suprise!) motherducking disturbing. Its one of the games where you need a youtube video to explain you what the frick you just witnissed; it gives you a lot of stuff though to theorise about wich is really fun.

I can't believe that I've never played a silent hill game before this one because overall this game was utterly perfect! I can't imagine going through what this character went through! I loved and dreaded every single second because when I beat it I'd never get to experience this for the first time again!
