The story was a bit drawn out, was nice to be able to read out loud on my own to my chat but also missed voices, graphics was nice and had it's own sweet style. Overall a bit uneven difficulty in the puzzles, they started easy and grew harder and it was almost frustrating much to remember in the end.

Has it connection to Norse mythology? Yes. BUT: is it all over the place? Also yes. I recommend to play this youself to see, if it fits you. Me it did not fit, to be completely honest. I still give it high scores, since it may NOT be the game's fault and technically there is nothing wrong with it. Full Steam review: There has not been a game for me yet, for which writing a review was this difficult. Röki is a puzzle game with a connection to Norse mythology, it is claimed on the internet. While this may or may not be true, it is a very odd mix of different Nordic things, names and myths. The puzzles were challenging enough to be tricky, yet solvable (in the end), the names and setting are also very Nordic. What makes me not want to like it is, that IMHO too many puzzles need to be started in order to finish one. It makes it quite chaotic and the player being easily on the edge of being overwhelmed and all over the place. The story is nice, the characters cute and the aforementioned puzzles plentiful. Still, I recommend this game and give it the benefit of a doubt, since it is worth experiencing it oneself. The price on Steam sale is more than fair.

A pretty solid puzzle game with a lovely art direction. Overall, the puzzles felt quite logical and fair. The final area, the castle, was my least favorite zone. With one of the puzzles that I couldn't logic out for the life of me it was a little bit of a let down from an otherwise enjoyable experience. Still a very solid game.

The storyline kept me surprised at every turn. I really enjoyed the mythology that was incorporated into the game. There were many points where I had to look up what to do next bc there wasn't enough guidance or help. I got frustrated wandering around or not knowing how to combine items to use them. Overall, I enjoyed the game!

beautiful art & lovely story. puzzles were mostly logical but it is easy to miss the tiniest items needed to progress at times
