MONSTER HUNTER STORIES 2 71 "Il potere del legame" GRAFICA:8 SONORO:7 GIOCABILITA':6/7 LONGEVITA':8 TRAMA:5 ATMOSFERA:6 1/2 +Alcuni spunti del gameplay interessanti +Graficamente ispiratissimo +Per quanto(pochino) mi sia piaciuto il gameplay gli ho comunque dedicato parecchie ore -Campagna lunga e tediosa -Gameplay molto lento -Storia e personaggi dimenticabilissimi Mi sono avvicinato alla saga di Monster Hunter da poco , grazie al recente MH Rise che mi ha fatto divertire per oltre 150 ore e ancora mi stimola grazie alla sua incredibile longevità. Monster Hunter Stories 2 è il sequel dell’omonimo titolo rilasciato nel 2017 sempre da Capcom che funge da spin-off della saga principale proponendo un gameplay molto simile a quello di Pokemon ma mantenendo comunque certe caratteristiche tipiche dei Monster Hunter principali. Stories 2 è quindi un Jrpg a turni dove potremo allenare(e cavalcare) una caterva di mostri del ricchissimo mondo di MH in una maniera simile a come facevamo nei giochi Pokémon. Anche qui sono centrali le uova e le abilità dei mostri , che costituiscono il cuore del gameplay. Sarà necessario passare ore a girare per le tane dei mostri(quasi tutte procedurali) e cercare di raccogliere le migliori uova che si schiuderanno diventando mostri con abilità più importanti da tramandare ad altri con il rituale sciamanico: in questo modo sacrificheremo il mostro ma potremo donare una delle sua abilità ad un altro. Capite bene che questo è un procedimento interessante ma bisognoso di tantissima dedizione per arrivare ad ottenere delle buone build(il gioco ha anche un competitivo online e un ricco post game con i mostri alto grado)e qui emerge il primo difetto del prodotto:le tempistiche dilatate. Ci vuole troppo tempo per tirare giù certi mostri e ciò inficia sulla pesantezza del gameplay: è tutto troppo lento e prolisso, servono tante ore di grinding ma le battaglie contro i mostri sono troppo lunghe e, essendo scontri a turni,fanno diventare il tutto molto noioso. Il sistema di trasmissione delle abilità non è affatto male ma il gameplay in sè non l’ho trovato così brillante e lo considero comunque un passo indietro rispetto a Pokemon. Altra cosa: cos’è fondamentale in un Jrpg? La storia ed i personaggi. Ed è proprio qui che MHStories 2 capitombola piuttosto male dato che la trama è un mischiotto di luoghi comuni sul potere del legame, del credere in noi stessi e dell’amicizia che anche basta. Davvero. Apparte i temi bambineschi anche la narrativa lascia proprio il tempo che trova: ho capito chi era il vero cattivo dalla prima inquadratura che gli hanno fatto! Insomma, non bene per un gioco che vorrebbe puntare anche sulla trama. Non si può dire nulla sul comparto artistico, i mostri sono meravigliosi da vedere così come le ambientazioni; su Nintendo Switch il frame rate è molto ballerino ma non inficia in alcun modo sul gameplay per ovvi motivi. Buona anche la colonna sonora ed il doppiaggio inglese. Per chiudere , sono rimasto un po’ deluso da Monster Hunter Stories 2. Per carità, non può essere considerato un brutto gioco, ma di sicuro non è tra i migliori Jrpg come molte testate giornalistiche sembrano voler far intendere. È un titolo con svariati difetti, primo fra tutti una campagna troppo lunga e tediosa ed una trama banale e prevedibile. Se saprete soprassedere alla lentezza del gameplay e amate alla follia la saga di Capcom vi troverete davanti una serenata al design dei Monster Hunter in un gioco che assomiglia vagamente a Pokemon. Per me è un titolo passabile ma molto sopravvalutato.

I got this game on launch day, as I loved the first monster hunter stories. It kept me entertained for a long while, maybe I should go back and get all the monsters.

This game was so good! I felt like the game was a little long however it was worth it. There is so much to do in the game to the point where I didn't even finish doing a lot of the sidequests. The story was so good so I kept working on that mainly. Loved the content and loved the story. Hoping they remaster the first one for Switch because I'd love to play through it at some point.

I think this game was actually pretty neat and the battle system was neat. being able to have the trainer with your monster was fun! plus the combo system. the little combo animations are very silly and I love them. plus its unique going to grab the eggs of the creatures you want and identifying them. It was real fun at times. I think I liked alot of the herbavore creatures and such. which limited my options. game was slow to me but I still want to give it another try. I think theres some neat concepts, but burns slow and thats not bad. If I feel it I think I'll go back!
