Dust: An Elysian Tail is a beautifully crafted indie action-platformer with fluid, satisfying combat and striking hand-drawn visuals. The game feels great to play from start to finish, and while it doesn’t constantly reinvent its mechanics, it remains consistently fun. The story is engaging, the dialogue is well written, and the soundtrack is excellent, elevating both emotional beats and exploration.

It’s even more impressive knowing the game was largely created by one developer, which gives the entire experience a strong, cohesive vision. While it may not be the most complex Metroidvania ever made, it excels at what it sets out to do.

Verdict: A polished, memorable indie classic that still holds up today and is an easy recommendation—especially at its usual Steam sale price.

Now I'm definitely sure this was included in a humble bundle and so that's why I played this. I don't remember many things from my experience with this game. I don't think it was a bad experience, just not a memorable one.

A great metroidvania from a solo dev with a good story and solid gameplay. The characters are well written and the music wraps it all up in a nice bow.

После этой игры я понял, что я ненавижу: пч0л, магов и кучу противников.

А так прикольная игруха, позалипать можно. Из-за числа врагов и количества комбо, порой не понимаешь, че на экране происходит (пенис мюзик).

Кстати, о мюзик. Она тут есть и ладно.. Каких-то запоминающихся композиций нет, но и раздражающих тоже.

Визуал прикольный, но видимо игруха старая и заточена была под более меньшее разрешение экрана. Из-за чего кажется, что картинку 720р просто растянули по экрану.

А так... Игра во!)) 👍

This is very good, especially for a game made by one person

Un metroidvania muy chulo, que se conserva muy bien visualmente para el tiempo que tiene.

Teniendo el tiempo que tiene, se agradece que cuente con mapa, cosa que de la que algún otro metroidvania incluso más moderno carece.

Un detalle que sería de agradecer sería poder usar el menú de pausa y demás cuando estamos en la vista de elección e nivel/mundo, que considero un fallito del juego.

Otro problema especial que tiene es que los enemigos se respawnean en cuanto cambias de pantalla y muchas veces puedes cambiar de pantalla sin querer, especialmente , pero no únicamente, cuando las barrerars son aereas, ya que pasas de pantalla sin barreras tipo puerta, etc... En otros metroidvania esto se resuelve haciendo que sean los puntos de salvado los que hacen respawnearse a los enemigos.

Al respawnearse al cambiar de pantalla hace que a veces sea muy monótono matar a los mismos enemigos una y otra vez... aunque por otro lado esto nos facilita el trabajo cuando queremos farmear enemigos en busca de un objeto que se dropea poco a menudo o simplemente levear. Aunque en general no necesitamos levear en el juego. A poco que nos distraigamos (me pasó) levearemos demasiado a nuestro personaje y los enemigos se volverán de papel.

Otro defecto es que el juego no está en español (al menos, de forma oficial, en Steam no conseguí jugarlo así). Y si vas a stremearlo, y con la cantidad de dialogo que tiene, vas a estar traduciendo en tiempo real un buen rato a la audiencia.

En general, si te gustan los metroidvania o los juegos de aventura, igual este te gusta (es un gusto adquirido, también). A mí me encantó. Y no se me hizo tan largo como esperaba :D.

Combat got very tedious, end of the game kinda not fun

Você, sua espada falante e sua amiga voadora precisam enfrentar os vilões para evitar que o mal se espalhe. Tem várias piadas e brincadeiras, e alguns momentos bem pesados.

Game tem um visual bonito que lembra um anime, jogabilidade legal!

very decent 2d slasher and "lite-vania", was in backlog for years, and while impressive for solo project, it didn't blow me away as its own game
