I had an absolute blast with this game! It was great fun to play. The soundtrack is still killer but a bit less memorable than (Very) DOOM from 2016. I really enjoyed the added story bits and the depth they went into in expanding the lore. Sure it is a bit round-about and abstract and they're really working overtime to jam almost 30 years of games into a cohesive storyline, but it was really cool and fun!
The final boss was an absolute nightmare to fight and really a bit of a letdown from a lot of the other content and fights in the game, but that wasn't enough to spoil it for me. My only other realistic complaint is that a lot of the game is just a series of combat arenas (very obvious to pick out on the maps) rather than a bit more of an exploratory adventure with fights along the way. Those combat arenas are INCREDIBLE, though, so it's not a huge complaint.

Mick Gordon hat alle vernichtet mit diesem Soundtrack und genauso fühlt sich das Gameplay auch an!

Для меня более сложный чем 2016 и визуально нравится больше прошлый, но он не хуже предшественника определённо!
I thought it was long but pretty neat
Nightmare, Extra Life Mode
I finished the game + both DLC and must say in some aspects it is better than 2016, in some it is a bit worse, but overall still 10/10. It is faster and harder, but it feels like a real sequel. In terms of difficulty, the start of the game is almost as difficult as the endgame of 2016, and in terms of story it is pretty obvious - it is a full-scale demon invasion, so there are more demons xD. But it is not just more demons, the Slayer became faster - you have dashes, a grappling hook and now switching weapons is a huge bonus because with the correct weapon you can one-shot enemies, so everything seems pretty balanced.
The hardest challenges are optional, so you can skip them if it is getting too hard. Design of locations is a huge boost in this one - sometimes you just stop and look around. In terms of DLCs - it is technically more demons in smaller arenas, and in the 1st DLC they a bit overdid it - you sometimes can just get stuck in demons without a way out, but in the 2nd DLC they definitely tuned it so it felt much more organic and free to run. And also we have much more lore and backstory which is great! I love stories and I love how it ended, so really looking forward to next parts!
