Darkwood is a unforgiving survival horror with a procedurally generated, open world. By blending RPG, roguelike and adventure elements together with a challenging difficulty, Darkwood aims to please players craving for a deep and rewarding experience. The fear of unknown is powerful. Your senses will be deceived by Darkwood's surreal terrors. No answer will be given to you for free, yet somewhere in the woods lies the truth, an explanation to what has happened in this godforsaken place. By day, explore the randomly generated woods, scavenge for materials and weapons, discover secrets, solve mysteries and talk, trade with or kill the various inhabitants of Darkwood. By night, return to your hideout, barricade, set up traps and hide or defend yourself from the horrors that lurk in the dark.

A really interesting and spooky game. you really need to explore but also as a survival horror you need to fend off the night. Such a well done game and more people should play it. It can be really unforgiving so be in for a tough ride but it's absolutely doable if you make smart choices.
Вообще не поняла этой игры... Жуткая духота или душная жуть?

best 2D horror game ever made, too scared to finish it
El diseño de los bosques, la musica del amanecer, los efectos de sonido, el suspenso que produce y la historia intrigante son cosas que me parecieron muy destacables del juego, diria que es mi indie de terror favorito
I think when people talk about what are nightmares are made that could be linked to this game. Even though I only got the "false" ending, there is a lot to love and enjoy about this work of art (Even though I was on edge half the time.) I think the NPC and everyone you meet in this messed up world adds more to this place. Love finding out more of this place as well though interactions with NPCs as well though items you can find in the world. It was also not joking about being a game that won't hold your hand. Truly a one of one game, and I see why people put this as one of their fav horror games, and I may as well if I sit down and think about it(it's a small list of horror games.) May try and get the "true" ending some time down the road and update this.
