Alien: Isolation is a survival horror game based on the Alien franchise. As Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked population and an unpredictable Alien. You must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission but to simply stay alive. In addition to the main story mode there's Survivor mode in which the player needs to escape from a specially designed map fulfilling secondary objectives along the way, while being aggressively hunted by the alien. This mode includes online leaderboards.

It was really fun streaming this game on twitch, especially with the jump scares and viewers messing around in chat to purposely scare me or help when I got stuck in the game. Really enjoyed the gameplay and story.

I don't understand why people are so enamored with this game. It isn't great. I played on "medium" or "normal" difficulty. The second half of the game had several places where knowing where to go were completely unclear. One place in particular required you to progress by moving next to a door that would open only if you were right next to it, and there was no reason or indication you had to approach it, as there were many other doors identical to it that would not open. The stealth in this game was more engaging than most games that require stealth because the alien had completely random movement and behavior. It was quite silly, however, that if you completely escaped the alien's area, the game would scamper right to you in the vents and begin hunting you again. I played the game crouch walking when the alien was near for 90% of the time, and it had no impact on keeping the alien from continually dropping from the vents to look for me. It is completely bogus that being silent helps avoid that behavior from the alien. The game gave me way too many resources, and not enough reason to use the craftables. I also had a ton of ammo at the end of the game.

I'm someone who knows of the alien films, but never watched and decided to try this game because Michi triggered my horror stream channel point reward.... Even though this game can be scary, it was fun because the game had an amazing story that took us to Sevastopol, a space station that harbour creatures known as Xenomorphs, but how did they get here? That's not our primary objective as our character Ripley is searching for clues regarding her mother Ellen, as she was last seen on this space station. You realise after a while that something has left the humans on edge, ass you'll come across some trying to kill you or avoid you. It's great because it highlights that Xenomorph is not the only threat you face and you'll end up sneaking past humans too. Xenomorph was designed great for this game, as she seemed to always know the best places to hide, where I would go next or where I was hiding. It's always scary in horror games when you have to run and hide from something scary, but it feels worse when that scary presence also knows where you might be hiding. I had a fun time playing, getting spooked and learning the lore and meeting certain characters. Highly recommend for horror lovers or fans of Dead Space.

This was my first "Aliens" franchise game that I've played, and in that respect, its not a bad title. Honestly though from a game perspective, it isn't the "Worst" horror game I've played, but it certainly could be better in parts. The atmospheric noises are pretty good, and the visuals can be quite interesting at times. If you're looking for jump scares though, this game managed to spook me only a hand full of times, and felt more like a slog than an actually enjoyable experience. The core mechanic of the game is to remain in stealth, but sightlines felt way too varying between enemies of the same type, and like most other games in the franchise to my understanding, the AI felt badly programmed. Usually a blast from a flame thrower would be enough to send the Xenomorph running, but at times it would instead just outright charge and end up killing me in a single shot. Synths felt unjustifiably tanky especially with how far their sight lines were, meant that I would more often than not end up needing to combat them. If you're someone who's easily spooked or a fan of the Aliens franchise, by all means, play this. If you're a horror fiend looking for your next fix though, you may want to look elsewhere.

Пройдено: ❌️ Осталось со Страхотона Ну это определённо игра. Я прошла половину, и в начале я очень боялась чужого, а потом он меня заебал. Стелс игры, сосите хуй (я не умею в вас играть). В любом случае, свою долю хоррора я получила.

My first Stealth based game I've ever beaten, and MY GOD it was SO good. Woulda given 5 stars if map was a tad bit better and UI was a lil better, other than that, it was a masterpiece! Played on medium difficulty and it was so hard for me still lol, great experience though and super scary!

Для меня Alien: Isolation — это очень сильный проект, заслуживающий оценки 9 из 10. Игра отлично балансирует между расслаблением и напряжением: эти ощущения постоянно сменяют друг друга, что держит в напряжении и не дает заскучать. Локации атмосферные и проработанные, создают ощущение погружения в ужасающий мир. Однако задания временами кажутся душноватыми и утомительными — многое зависит от удачи. В моём первом прохождении мне как будто помогла сама судьба, и я быстро прошла все наиболее "тяжёлые" места. Визуально игра впечатляет своей стилистикой и детализацией, а эмоциональная составляющая вызывает сильные ощущения и сопереживание героине. Хоть игра и пугает и создает нужную атмосферу ужаса, скримеров мне как будто немного не хватило — хотелось бы большего их количества для ещё большей интенсивности. В целом — отличный хоррор, который рекомендуется фанатам жанра.
