This might be my least favourite Pikmin game. The Pikmin AI was far better than in the previous two games, which reduced accidental Pikmin deaths, but the addition of a third playable character lent a higher focus to multitasking, which I'm terrible at. Fruit replacing treasures as the goal felt somewhat hollow, and they're definitely less fun to discover and collect.

The game also just kinda...ended? I thought I was maybe approaching the midpoint when it turns out I had beaten the last boss and that was it.

I wish I could have the refined Pikmin AI in one of the previous games, for a more satisfying experience.

Decent horror game! Playing through it has cemented my thoughts on the horror genre on a most general level. Turns out I lack the patience for stealth, don't scare easily, and mostly get frustrated when failure means losing a lot of slow progress.

Fun to go through once, but I likely won't be back.
