Remember how I said I used to own the first Wario Land? Yeah, that continues to be my favorite of the series, maybe only beat out by Shake It on the wii. This game supposedly continues a formula from Wario Land 2 where Wario can't take damage, but enemies interact with him in unique ways. A clever idea, except a lot of it is set up in a way where it completely sabotages the player if you accidentally make contact with them, and you have to wait for the effects to wear off. This got repetitive very quickly haha. It kinda had a metroidvania element to it where Wario can get certain abilities to access areas in previous levels he couldn't get to the first time. I enjoyed that aspect of it. But it got kinda confusing the more I went on, that by the time I was done, I was just thankful. I commend it for its ideas, but I didn't like the execution too much.

De mis juegos favoritos tanto de Wario como de la Game Boy. A comparación de Wario Land 2, en este juego tienes que mejorar las habilidades de Wario, haciendo que muchas veces tengas que volver a los niveles anteriores para conseguir otro tesoro, esto le da un poco de toque Metroidvania al juego y debo decir que me gusta bastante. Una mecánica que me gusta mucho es que según si es de día o de noche pasan cosas diferentes en algunos niveles y te abren zonas que en otro momento del día. Los gráficos son muy bonitos para ser de Game boy, las expresiones que hace Wario cuando se transforma son bastante graciosas. La música es my buena y mis bandas sonoras favoritas de Wario Land.

It's not my favorite Wario game, but there's a massive amount to do in this game. With a hundred treasures to collect, you'll be running back and forth between levels using lots of different powers to get keys for treasure chests. It can be pretty unforgiving in terms of puzzle platforming. Failure often means repeating a whole section, or restarting a boss. This is fun if you like collection games, otherwise you can follow the hint statue for a direct path to the end.

Este juego es básicamente un metroidvania separado por niveles. Una idea muy original y única que funciona muy bien con una buena cantidad de niveles que además cambian constantemente a raíz de tus avances. Muy sorprendido.

Took what Wario Land 2 had and MADE IT MUCH BETTER! Downside, the game can get confusng AF! Take notes on where to go if you want to collect all the treasures
