The Lion King brings to life the majesty and mystery of Africa through the tale of Simba, a lion cub faced with the challenging transition to maturity. Believing himself to be responsible for his father's death, Simba enters the wilderness - where he finds salvation with Pumbaa the warthog and Timon the meerkat, and his education begins. Take control of the young cub Simba and, through interaction as detailed as the lust terrain, guide him safely through.

Disney told the developers to make the game difficult because they wanted kids to buy the game instead of rent it. I think the developers went a bit far with the expectation and damaged the reputation this game could have had. All the right pieces are here, but this game was not the most fun in the world. There's some artificial difficulty with some odd hitboxes and the amount of ways you can be hurt or die.

[PRIMEIRAS IMPRESSÕES] O jogo parece divertido no começo, mas é uma enganação, pois a 2ª fase é muito difícil, pois suas mecânicas de plataforma são muito ruins (às vezes, você consegue pegar no rabo do hipopótamo, às vezes não consegue)! Não recomendo a ninguém!

Hard difficulty setting The SNES version feels unfinished and super rough compared to the Mega Drive and DOS versions. I even enjoyed the SMS version more

Uau, Rei Leão eu acho que foi um dos desenhos antigos da Disney que mais assistir, época da fita VHS verde, não sei você mas esse jogo era difícil, a faze dos macaco era um saco. Particularmente eu gostava muito do bônus com o Timão e Pumba.

The Lion King on SNES is a disappointing mess of a game. Despite being based on a beloved movie, the developers failed to deliver a satisfying experience. The platforming mechanics are clunky and frustrating, with cheap deaths and unresponsive controls making it a frustrating experience. The graphics, while impressive for the time, don't hold up well today and the soundtrack, while recognizable, is just a pale imitation of the original movie score.
