Silent Hill HD Collection is a compilation of remastered ports of Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. The core play mechanics and story for all games remained mostly the same with some artistic changes in the remastered versions. Both games have had a graphics overhaul to allow them to support modern 720p resolution on consoles, as well as run at locked 30 frames per second. They also feature an alternate voice dub, as well as PlayStation Network Trophies and Xbox 360 Achievements. Players have the option to switch between the original voice acting and the alternate voice acting for Silent Hill 2, while the re-dub is mandatory for Silent Hill 3 because it lacks the original voice acting.

SH2: I think this ended up being my favorite entry out of the three I played. Although Silent Hill 1 set up the atmosphere and unease of existing in Silent Hill, but 2 felt like an interesting exploration of peoples' psyche. Although the profound loneliness of exploring Silent Hill is lessened as we find many people in our journey, I think those interactions - especially with the line delivery and specific animations - increased my unease and tension. (5*) SH3: The problem with 3 for me is it took the seeds of one and tried to answer everything - even things I didn't have questions about. It took the intimate horror that Silent Hill 2 explored and kind of threw it out the window. Like, to some degree its there, but in comparison it felt like gods and demons and oh my was more important than really delving into Cheryl. It just felt messy and I hit a point where I was no longer curious, I didn't want anymore answers and that kind of sucks. I think the centralizing of the cult in the story was simply not that interesting for me. (3*)

I was unable to play the PS2 versions of these games but I guess this is better than nothing and I know most fans would definitely shine this version and I can see why while playing the game I experienced some textures missing from enemy I experienced collision problems with enemies that were already down and the voice acting in three-year was atrocious sometimes the sound in three would not sync up with the scene that was playing onscreen the voice actor for the third games main character sounds way too old as for the second I didn't have too many problems with it whatsoever I don't know about the new voice acting on that one because I didn't select it if I were to recommend this to anybody it would be a last resort because of the fact that it is super expensive to even find the original games that is the only time I would ever recommend this version of the games
