This is my favorite Shining Force game. The simplicity of the system makes this a great tactical RPG for kids. It's not hard to level up, the progression is extremely straightforward, and there are a surprising number of characters to build a team with. Sega knew how to deliver with 8bit tactical RPGs. The character Gyan seems suspiciously similar to Goldar from the Power Rangers, but in the best way.
