I really wanted to like this game. The graphics are great, the characters are awesome and I like the story. My issue was with all of the bugs, crashes, and fundamental RPG elements that were missing. When I looked up the difference in hours to beat the old Secret of Mana game vs this one I noticed that this version was missing about 20 hours...near the end of the game when you entered an area, it was almost as if the mobs' levels doubled. I had to go back and grind for a while and it felt like I found where they cut out a part of the game. The game crashed a lot. I honestly feel like they added auto save to the game to combat all of the crashes and issues...I know I spent some of the time floating around not being able to attack anything until I either restarted the game or moved to another area. I ran into a boss fight where a lot of fundamental RPG elements were missing. For example one one particular boss, I couldn't dispell his wall at all. I casted wall on myself with the intent to reflect abilities off of me but I wasn't allowed to cast attack spells on myself. I waited for him to attack me with my wall up but his abilities did not reflect back at him. There were a lot of cases like this where you expect certain ways to deal with problems due to it being common in other RPGs but they definitely were missing from this game. I also hated the fact that when I went shopping, I couldn't see stat comparisons on equipment. I tried pushing all the buttons to see if I was just missing something but it seems like they did not add the ability to compare equiment from the shop to your gear...so I ended up wasting a lot of money trying to buy upgrades. I always went for the most expensive hoping it would be an upgrade. I spent a lot of time missing attacks. No matter how much I upgraded my weapons, it got to the point where I just spammed abilities and kept buying items to regen my mana. I was expecting more out of this remake.

The Gameplay is fine but clearly dated. The "load up to attack" didn't age well sadly. The story is basic I would say, nothing bad but nothing too good either. The visuals are stunning (I played the remake) but I missed the old graphics due to nostalgia. Sadly the game was bug-ridden. In some places, I thought I was hard locked. The soundtrack was nice.

Einmal über den Elfenteich zum Hexenwäldchen, zu den Zwergen, ner Hexe, in ne Höhle und zurück nach Pandoria. Das ist ja fast ne halbe Weltreise.

Secret of Mana ist ein mittlerweile recht antikes und gut gealtertes RPG der alten Schule und eines der ersten Spiele (wenn nicht sogar das erste) das ich je gespielt habe.

Pourquoi 3.5 ? Tout simplement que le jeu est une honte a l'épisode de la snes nintendo, OST merdique autant jouer avec l'OST original, jeu fait à la vas vite dispose des même bug que sur la version SNES et +. Je suis arriver au fort MANA avec un bug qui m'as empecher de continuer le jeu (MERCI A SE pour cette daube) si j'ai mis cette note c'est qu'à coté j'adore la série et que graphiquement et niveau de l'histoire rien n'as changer !
