Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica

Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica is a first-person shooter video game and the second installment in the Gun Survivor series. As in most lightgun games, the objective is to make it through an environment while shooting enemies. It is somewhat less typical in that you have full roaming control over your character rather than being stuck on rails. More unusually, a timer begins as you enter each area. If the timer runs out before you leave, Nemesis will appear and chase you.

I didn't finish this game as it's essentially RE: Survivor but with an abridged retelling of events from Code Veronica. The first thing I noticed is that the controls are significantly better then the first game. Strafing has been added and other changes make the game much more fun overall. There is also no story mode but rather an Arcade mode with the same rules as the first game (limited lives). The game is split into levels now with a timer. After playing a few chapters I decided to move on as there isn't much that made completing the game worth it.
