QUANTUM BREAK 7/8 GRAFICA:7/8 SONORO:7/8 GIOCABILITA':8 LONGEVITA':7/8 TRAMA:8+ EMOZIONE:7/8 +Intriga e diverte +A tratti davvero bello da vedere +Scelte narrative coraggiose e ben realizzate -Finale aperto e troppo libero -Bug grafici fuori luogo -Raccogliere indizi sparsi per i livelli è sin troppo determinante per il genere di gioco Il mese di dicembre 2017 è stato consacrato per l acquisto dell'ultima console che mi sarei immaginato di prendere: l'xbox one. Sono poche le esclusive della One che mi interessano e una di queste è Quantum Break dei Remedy, già autori di Alan Wake. Quantum break è un action-adventure con uno spiccato protagonismo della trama ingarbugliata in pieno stile Remedy che riesce a paper mio ad entrare nella storia dei videogiochi grazie ad alcuni elementi narrativi davvero innovativi e rivoluzionari. Il gioco propone il tema dei viaggi nel tempo , non certo originale di per se, ma riesce a colpire nel segno grazie ad una narrativa molto particolare, personaggi molto caratteristici e la possibilitò di poter prendere le scelte che determineranno il prosieguo dell'avventura tramite...l'antagonista. Scelta coraggiosa ma perfettamente implementata che spinge pure sul pedale della rigiocabilità(la durata standard è comunque più che onesta). Da applaudire anche la scelta di inserire tra un capitolo di gioco e un altro(5 in tutto) una vera e propria puntata di una serie TV con attori veri da 25 minuti circa l'uno. Scelta che ha spaventato molti scettici ma che è risultata essere determinante ai fini dello sviluppo della trama e molto efficace vista l'ottima prova recitativa degli attori. Dal punto di vista della trama non azzarderei se dicessi che Quantum Break è L'Inception dei videogiochi. Pieno di risvolti, discongiunzioni temporali, peronaggi uguali in epoche diversi, la trama è davvero impegnativa da capire veramente a fondo e per farlo il giocatore deve per forza appoggiarsi alle note/documenti trovate sparse per i livelli di gioco, cosa che di per se non amo particolarmente. Il finale è completamente aperto e lascia le porte spalancate a libere interpretazioni oppure ad un ipotetico seguito. Il gameplay risulta essere molto efficace anche grazie alla presenza dei poteri temporali che rendono il nostro Jack Joyce un vero superuomo semi-invincibile negli scontri a fuoco: da segnalare una difficoltà piuttosto bassa durante tutta la campagna fino ad arrivare ad un vile picco durante la final boss fight. Quantum Break è ben doppiato interamente in italiano ma graficamente oscilla tra il "che belle ambientazioni e modelli dei personaggi" e il " ma qui ci sono dei pixelloni!". In effetti in certi punti il gioco cala clamorosamente la risoluzione risultando sgradevole alla vista anche a causa di alcuni bug visivi. Resta l'intenzione grafica ambiziosa del team di sviluppo riuscita però solo in parte.

An interesting game. They made a full length web series to use as cutscenes for the game! And you can make decisions based on your intuition which will affect the game world and cutscenes will also change for different choices! Remedy always focuses on story, so you will love that time-manipulative narrative. Graphics and Gameplay was also very good. Another sequel deserving game which got turned down.

Recently saw this game in some other stream and found the graphics and way of fighting interesting. Reminded me of Control, I wonder why. (Later found out it indeed is from the same studio). I also think time, time traveling, time manipulation and the problems you get from it is an interesting topic for a game.

Очередной визуальный и повествовательный шедевр от Ремеди и Сэма Лейка. Геймплей немного раздражает, но игра прекрасна. Много вопросов про время, про судьбы героев, много загадок.

I really wanted to like this game because of how unique it is, but unfortunately I felt it kinda fell flat. The Game/TV Show hybrid is a really cool concept, but I found myself just getting really confused by the story due to the typical "time travel" confusion that happens with any plot line using time as a theme. The TV show felt pretty low budget like I was watching a CW show. The gameplay was fun at times, but it was like impossible to find the perk points throughout the game because they decided to make them "balls of light" which were really hard to distinguish from regular light sources. Additionally, I hated the "glitchy and artifacting" look they gave to time being stopped. It made it very disorienting and it just straight up didn't look good. Overall, it wasn't a bad game, but it just wasn't a good game either 😐
