I had a blast with this game. It's a DOOM type of FPS, but with magic abilities cuz you're a Warlock. You're on a mission to eradicate Evil and eventually wipe out The Devil/King of Demons/Evil only to become the next one. The enemies are creative and fun, animations and sprites are wonderful looking, the bosses were fun, and the spells were an entertaining touch to the normally Guns Only. Absolutely LOVE the soundtrack. Def recommend getting the soundtrack too.

Was cool to have the nostalgic feel of the 2D shooter again with a modern kick to it.

Не знаю, какой именно смысл разработчики вложили в слово WARLOCK в названии игры, т.к. у него есть несколько близких по смыслу переводов, но допустим это ЧЕРНОКНИЖНИК. Прикол в том, что у персонажа, за которого мы играем не только нет никакой черной книги, так он еще и буквально через несколько уровней превращается во внеземного терминатора, ведь его карманы теперь содержат тонну боеприпасов к разнообразным видам оружия, которым ему предстоит воспользоваться для аннигиляции всего живого и не очень на своем пути. Хотите убивать огромных роботов с ракетницами? А может быть древнеегипетских мумий с ракетницами? А может быть суккубов из преисподней с ракетницами? Тогда эта игра создана для вас! Как мы уже поняли у разрабов присутствует какой-то нездоровый фетиш на ракеты, как и на большое количество видов оружия главного героя, половина из которого бо́льшую часть игры попросту не будет использоваться, ведь после покупки двуствольного дробовика вам от жизни больше ничего не будет нужно, кроме получения дофамина, пропорционально нанесенному разовому урону. Так же не знаю, как для других, а лично мне показалось, что у игры не самая приятная цветовая палитра(особенно в пятой последней главе, где она просто ужасна), ведь после пары часов игры в варлока мои глаза уставали так, будто бы я уже на протяжении 18 часов играл в какую-либо другую игру с приятной графикой и возможно имели сильное желание убежать куда подальше, лишь бы не смотреть на происходящее на экране. "А вдруг в нашей игре графика слишком крутая?" - подумали разработчики и решили добавить в неё уникальную возможность УНИЧТОЖИТЬ графон до такой степени, что вы буквально не будете понимать, где находитесь.

pleasant doom like shooter with decent arsenal, and some rpg lite elements here and there, doesn't go beyond mediocrity in the end, but it is on the more enjoyable side of that spectrum
