Patron is a fun medieval city builder that takes the ashes of what banished was, and fully realizes its game play and mechanics in a great new engine. However, calling this game just another “banished clone” fully undersells what the game is trying to accomplish. The game has a system of story events that change the events in your city ever so slightly, as well as adding technology researching, trading, and more! The drawback to this kind of game is simply that its hard for those who have not played its spiritual ancestor (Banished). Your villages will die, die a lot, and I mean a lot. However, you take what you learn and you apply that until you have a hussin bussin bussin village! All in all you are getting a great game for the money with I am sure what will be more content on the horizon as the company continues to support it.
