kinda a let down from the first one. not nearly as deep.
I adore this just as much as the first game, and I was not expecting how the two stories would tie together! I love that these games have voice acting, and GREAT voice acting at that. And the artwork/animation is so unique. I've learned that there is no TRUE ending, it all depends on how you play, but there is an ending that the devs agree is the best option if it's offered to you. HIGHLY recommend this one!
The basis of the story (once you get halfway to the game) no longer makes sense if you didn't play Oxenfree twice to get the 'true' ending. I don't think this was communicated anywhere to the player, otherwise they'll end up like me and be confused as to why Alex (from the first game) is back in the 'in-between' with her friends. I think this was my biggest gripe with Oxenfree II, I understand they didn't want to do the Kanaloa crew again (in full), but after having played Oxenfree once and got a really good ending and then watching them get stuck in the in-between was mind boggling and frustrating.
The music and graphics are fantastic, and I did like the addition of doing 'side quests' for the various people you encounter on the radio, even though I didn't end up doing most of them for the sake of pushing through main story.
