Metro 2033 is a post-apocalyptic shooter set in the dark tunnels of the Moscow Metro after a nuclear war has devastated the surface. You play as Artyom, a young survivor tasked with delivering a message that could determine the fate of the last remnants of humanity. The story isn’t anything groundbreaking, but I liked it. It was interesting enough to keep me wondering about what was going to happen next. I still have no idea what the hell are the dark ones though. Gameplay is mostly about shooting and sneaking around. It’s alright, nothing revolutionary, but it gets the job done. The gunplay has that gritty, grounded feel and the stealth works just well enough to make it viable. The survival elements like the gas mask and limited ammo add some tension, though overall it’s a fairly straightforward experience. The game is still beautiful in a lot of ways.That said, the character models show the game’s age, and the voice design hasn’t aged particularly well either. I also ran into a number of crashes throughout my playthrough, which was frustrating, but aside from that, it ran smoothly. TL;DR: Worth it if you like post-apocalyptic shooters and want a nice 10-hour story.

Amazing lore and story. Must read the book after playing this one. Decent amount of challenge with a great potential for next games. I must play the continuation.

Simply great! This is the first in a series of games and it's a wonderful introduction to the World of Metro. The only thing I didn't like was how killing the monsters can be difficult sometimes as their jump/move animations are a bit crazy and not every shot counts as a hit. What I absolutely LOVE is that you can loot enemies AND their guns ANDDD the ammo from the guns!

Здоровская игра с прекрасной атмосферой постапокалипсиса! Жаль, что очень короткая, но и в этом тоже свой шарм. Персонажи прям 10 из 10 , не совсем ясный сюжет, но это такое .. звук и атмосфера перекрывают все 🤩 Стартую 2 часть! Рекомендую однозначно 🧡

История захватывает с первых минут: ты — человек, родившийся в подземельях разрушенной Москвы, и твоя цель — не просто выжить, а найти надежду. Сквозь темные туннели метро, наполненные опасностями и мутантами, главный герой стремится к поверхности — к новому миру, где возможно снова жить под небом. Сочетание хаоса, тревоги и страха с редкими, но невероятно ценными моментами единства, дружбы и взаимопомощи — вот что делает атмосферу игры по-настоящему живой. Геймплей порадовал: напряженные перестрелки, стелс, необходимость следить за патронами и фильтрами придают игре реализм и остроту. Конечно, есть, что можно было бы улучшить, но это не мешает игре оставаться цельным и увлекательным опытом.
