A true passion project made with extra time the developers had while working. Everything that was great about the first game is refined and improved. There's still a lot of difficulty, but it's more engaging and less flagrantly unfair. Great music and story.

Fun to play with the Legacy Collection's rewind feature but is either far too easy or absolutely insufferable. Bosses die in one or two hits if you know their weaknesses but on the other hand screen transition to spikes to instant death combo happens far too often and Wily stages require powerups you might not even have. I know Mega Man is a popular and beloved series, but I don't see the hype.
