Firewatch is a single-player first-person video game where you, as a man named Henry, explore the Wyoming wilderness after taking a summer job as a fire lookout. What is supposed to be a peaceful respite from your complicated life takes a turn when you start to question some of the things that are happening to you. Your only human connection is over a handheld radio, which you’ll use to speak with your supervisor Delilah about the things both of you are experiencing.

C'est l'histoire d'un homme qui après des histoire personnelles difficiles, se lance dans une carrière de ranger solitaire, ou presque, mais tout ne va pas se passer normalement. Firewatch est un jeu indé avec une belle ambiance graphique. Il est court mais l'aventure est très sympa à suivre, le gameplay de randonné avec sa carte et sa boussole et radio est cool ca crée une dynamique sympa, le jeu est plutôt chill. Mais pas tant que ca finalement coté scénario tout commence bien, relax, petite aventure en fôret. J'avais oublié que le scénario à une phase un peu "flippante" (mood flippant, c'est pas un jeu d'horreur et rien ne fait peur). Overall, pour ne rien spoiler je trouve tjrs qu'il y a quelques incohérences scénaristique mais ca n'empêche pas de passer un bon moment sur le jeu!

A bud said it was a fav game of hers so i got it i haven't beaten the game and i do need to but so far not the biggest fan when i stopped stuff started happening but its a slow start 2 hours for the game to start get interesting 😴 i like the idea but not much happens at the start its more or less a walking simulator with a story

Game Review: Firewatch ⭐ 6/10 Firewatch sets out to be a thoughtful, story-driven adventure through the Wyoming wilderness — a peaceful escape filled with mystery, sunsets, and quiet reflection. At least, that’s the idea. In practice? It’s more like getting lost in the woods with a chatty stranger and a compass that seems to mock you. The story is good — heartfelt, emotional, and occasionally haunting. You can tell a lot of care went into the writing, and there are moments that genuinely hit hard. But the gameplay… oof. Calling it a “walking simulator” feels almost generous when half your time is spent trying to figure out where you’re even walking to. The navigation feels clunky, and every wrong turn adds another layer to the slow-brewing headache this game gave me. Visually, the game isn’t bad — it just feels dated. The forests are fine, but not breathtaking. The real beauty shows up at night, when the stars spill across the sky and you get that brief, perfect “wow” moment. It’s almost enough to make you forget how frustrated you are. Almost. And then there’s Delilah — your constant radio companion. At first, her banter brings a little warmth to the quiet, but she doesn’t know when to stop. She talks, vents, overshares, and keeps going long after you’ve mentally checked out. Combine that with the stillness of the forest and the dragging pace, and it’s a recipe for major mental overload. By the time the credits rolled, I felt relieved — not because of closure, but because I could finally rest my brain. Firewatch has a touching story buried under long walks, endless chatter, and a silence that feels more draining than peaceful. I’m glad I finished it… but I don’t think I’ll be taking another hike anytime soon.

A friend recommended this game, and she was so right to. This is a pretty unique game. It is a walking simulator but with a very immersive story, which can be difficult to find. As well as being immersive, it is also visually stunning making the exploring parts rewarding. I also really enjoyed the story, including the ending. Amazing game.
