Very serious game with heartful moments and false mystery.
Will go back and finish it one day

Alles in allem?

Si l'esthรฉtique du jeu est vraiment sympa, l'histoire demeure assez inรฉgale.

Fall of Porcupine was such a ride. But it took very long to get on that ride and then take that ride. It wasnt a ride until the end pretty much. I enjoyed the game but felt it dragging. I quite enjoyed playing a doctor.
O jogo me fez chorar... muito bom

This is the kind of game that usually gets me. But, this one in particular is a big if. If the story were better written, if the mini games were more objective, if you could care a bit about the characters. I get the whole "we have to support and respect the workers at the health system" but it fails big time to even build this sort of narrative. And when it does start to get there, it ends.

This one is tough. I played the demo for Fall of Porcupine during the Steam Next Fest and was really looking forward to the full release. I love the premise of what it's like working in a little hospital for a little isolated town, the artwork is great, and I enjoyed talking to and getting to know the characters, but after finally getting the time to sit down with it (about 5-6 hours, some offline), I just felt like I was pushing myself to make any progress. The story wasn't exciting enough to keep me interested, the mini-games offered no challenge, a LOT of time was spent walking from A-B, and the constant bugs and visual issues I ran into were frustrating.
I think I understand what the writers were going for, but everything felt just a bit too mundane. I think what this game is trying to say could have been accomplished in half the time, or less, with more respect for the player's time. For example, fast-travel exists (kinda), but only for one specific thing, and you still need to walk a lot to and from the fast-travel location. If you're not going to that same spot per the plot, fast travel was unavailable, and you had to spend 5 min walking to a place you've already been to before. Eventually, it just didn't feel worth it to continue playing.
Secondly, the bugs. Oh gosh. I played on Steam Deck and I constantly ran into things like: Text cut off the screen, the aspect ratio incorrect and cut off during conversation/mini games, characters getting stuck on walking paths while following, text overflowing the speech bubbles, text auto-skipping when pressing a button to load the chat bubble but other times it wouldn't skip, audio cutting out oddly, etc.
Maybe it was just that the platform I played on wasn't tested, but the game felt unpolished and like it wasn't thoroughly play-tested. This feels a little harsh. I know a lot of work went into the game, but when text is cut off or overflowing in a visual novel, it's very obvious.
This game is lovely; it has a lot of things going for it that it does very well, but as a fully packaged game, it just didn't work for me. Additionally, I think the comparisons to Night in the Woods will leave folks disappointed.
If I were to recommend this game, it would be to someone who really loves visual novels and has some personal connection to the medical industry, but only after it's been patched.
