The year is 2052 and the world is a dangerous and chaotic place. Terrorists operate openly - killing thousands; drugs, disease and pollution kill even more. The world's economies are close to collapse and the gap between the insanely wealthy and the desperately poor grows ever wider. The Game of the Year edition contains the latest game updates and a software development kit, a separate soundtrack CD, and a page from a fictional newspaper featured prominently in Deus Ex titled The Midnight Sun, which recounts recent events in the game's world.

Best experienced now with a mod or two. GMDX is the best mod for a playthrough which stays loyal to the original game, while bringing in some much needed features to make the gameplay experience good.
One of the best stories, with a killer soundtrack. Nearly quarter of a century later, this game's story and themes could not be more relevant, especially after the Covid Pandemic, and the current discourse around AI, government corruption, and human rights issues.
Voice acting ranges from just acceptable to absolutely atrocious, but I wouldn't have it any other way
10/10, best game ever created in my opinion.
Can't play this game twice in the same way, there is always something different and new.
Old but gold.
Must try!

It's such a great and rich RPG! Finished it twice and on my second playthrough was still finding new things, and there's probably more things I could find. There's a lot of choices to make and even the playstyle you choose have effects on the interactions you'll have with other characters. The story itself is very well written as well. It's based around conspiracy theories and it constantly challenges you to question whose side you're on, and it never gives you an easy option, as every side has it's ups and downs and ulterior motives.
