A satisfying conclusion to the series. Improved visuals and shooting mechanics, but they were still very barebones. More bosses than the original, but they were all carbon copies of each other and only required around a dozen bullets to take down. There was slightly more enemy variety, but the way you dealt with them was always the same. Side quests and side characters are mostly left to the sides with no character development or funny dialogue. Side quests were most of the time annoying fetch quests that sometimes required hours of grinding to complete for amazing rewards such as 30 dollars. The hotel you're sleeping in chargers you around 150 dollars per night. No fishing or dart-throwing, but there were more minigames like bowling, skateboarding, stoneskipping and airboating, which were overall way more fun and well crafted than the minigames in DP1. SWERY tried to implement more RPG mechanics by making your characters HP, stamina, DMG, firespeed etc upgradeable, but grinding for the materials is boring and upgrading your character is unecessary, since bosses are easy either way. For those that want to spend more time in the game, this is for you I guess. Story spoilers: In Le-Carre, I felt as tough the game progressed way too fast. We find out the main killer very early, which made me question if they could actually be the killer. Melvins turn to the dark side was so unnecessary and unfitting and made no sense logically or timeline wise, and neither did his sudden last-minute change of the heart. If the game had ended here I would have hated it. However, the bits with Aaliyah and Zach in present timeline make up for it, they are very good and slowly reveal what is truly going on. You don't know if Zach has completely lost it and was York even ever real. Aaliyah and Thomas, who interview Zach are so normal compared to him it makes the sections feel more serious and grounded in reality. Near the end of these Zach interview sections we get more hints about what is happening in the past in Le-Carre, but some of these I wish would've been left for the player to uncover by themselfs. The real ending, not the Le-Carre Melvin ending is a satisfying conclusion and while it's way over-the-top and unrealistic, this is Deadly Premonition and nothing should surprise anyone at this point. There are also a few plotholes and inconsistencies created by this game, but I simply choose to ignore them and don't think they ruin the game/story/experience. York and Zach are still the same dudes who they were in the first game with same witty dialogue. GG WP Would kill 1000 alligators with my skateboard for an achievement again.

well i loved playing the first Deadly Premonition and this second games is straight sequel, the only downside.. the formula they used and bugs and issues in the first game, haven't changed for the better even a little bit. the first game had that quirky voice acting but it looks super forced than innovative in different way to make it more interesting. and the story is not as thrilling. the survival horror aspect are quite.. boring (snaaaaaarf) a little change of powers for enemies and variation of enemies tomake them more memorable would have helped but yeah.. the game is deceiving compared to DP1 i would give a 4 but i'll add one more for the agent on skateboard and tie bugging lol 5 out of 10
