Cat Quest
Cat Quest is a 2D open world RPG with the exploration of Skyrim, but set in the visual style of an overworld. This is a fantasy world that asks the question of how different it would be if cats lived in it instead of humans! Go to places like the Catpital where the Lion King rules, or experience delicacies like the catnip pie! Talk to the locals, some already on their 7th or 8th lives(what? not all cats have nine lives y'know), and go on a catventure through a world you've never seen before!

Le jeu brille par sa simplicitรฉ : le systรจme de combat basรฉ sur des roulades et des zones dโimpact magiques est fluide et nerveux. C'est addictif, l'humour est omniprรฉsent (parfois jusqu'ร l'overdose de jeux de mots fรฉlins), et la progression est trรจs rapide.
Cependant, le titre souffre d'une certaine rรฉpรฉtitivitรฉ. Les donjons se ressemblent tous et le "grind" devient nรฉcessaire sur la fin pour compenser le pic de difficultรฉ. C'est un excellent jeu "snack" pour se dรฉtendre sans se prendre la tรชte, mais il manque de profondeur pour les puristes du genre.

I thoroughly enjoyed this game, it's great to just switch your brain off and quest. Sure the gameplay loop might be repetitive for some but if you're looking for something simple and enjoyable to play, I highly recommend this.

Cat Quest was the first game I played in 2025. I loved playing this game and it has a special place in my heart. It is a sort of cozy game about playing a cat in an sort of 2d open world. I like the story of this game and the main gameplay loop of this game, even if it can feel a bit repetitive towards the end of the game. As mentioned before, this game has a cute 2d world you can travel through and it felt rewarding to just discover it as most places had something to acquire. This game had a lot of side quest, which were fun to do and had their own characters and small stories. The side quest did feel like it was just walking through the map from place to place and then again back to the beginning of the quest which was a bit of a time waster. The last thing I have to say about the side quest is that they feel a bit too mandatory as they give so much more experience points to your character if compared to other parts of the game. it was fun to collect all weapons and armor sets in the game and leveling them. It was fun game to spent 10 hours of my time into. You could not see which level you had to be at some parts of the game and it have sometimes just random level spikes in enemies. This made you grind the side quests for a bit to get to a good level. I liked the system in place for the spells and I liked how every spell felt different to use. I did feel that the later spell were so under leveled and cost to much coins to upgrade that they didnโt matter anymore and I just used the earlier acquired spells.
I would recommend to play this game if you seek a bit of a smaller fun game to play, because it is fun to play with lots of cat jokes and a fun storyline. Maybe I will be returning to this game in the future for the mew game and mew game plus, because I have read somewhere you could get some new items and it made game a bit harder in those playthroughs.
