I remembered how I was amazed by the track that one of the enemies plays and thinking "Aww man that's cool. Why didn't that happen while I played?" It turns out it was because I had set the music too low that I couldn't hear it during my playthrough. Good game, still need to complete it fully after all the additions made since launch.

The game is great but that difficulty spike at the end had me pretty upset. I may try again later but I don't know honestly

What an enjoyable game! It obviously really ready Symphony of the Night's homework and tried to make it look different, but it was just enjoyable to play. There is a LOT going on with all the minigames, sub- and side-quests, collections to complete, secrets to find, training to do, and so on.... But I just enjoyed all of my time with it and I'm really thankful to the friend who gifted it to me.
My one and only real complaint is that I just don't love this 2.5D graphical style and it made some of the hitboxes feel weird at times. They did some cool stuff with it (the rotating tower, specifically) but that was for too rare for it to justify the rest of the problems. I feel like this was most likely a cost- or time-saving measure since this was effective an indie game, despite the kickstarter. Or maybe they did it to increase the "modern look" of the game. I don't know for sure, but I'm not a fan.
I backed this game! It's got flaws but what game doesn't?
Stopped before the last boss.
