I really enjoyed this game!
It was a nice, gentle, peaceful adventure with an interesting story that didn't feel extremely heavy (although dealing with some serious topics). It never felt like too much, and it was nice to explore around and discover the lands and temples (not to mention writing in my own thoughts about being an airbender/the avatar).
The puzzles were not too challenging, but they were still fun to solve. It was more about the discovery rather than puzzle-solving, I think, and I think this game did that well.
Although I did feel mostly satisfied with getting all the achievements and completing the game, I would have liked to know more about how the world changed (or not) after the ending.
But regardless, I enjoyed my time throughout.

Absolutely beautiful game that deserves all the love. The game looks beautiful, music is great, the feel of it also amazing. Relaxing but also nerve wrecking at the end.

A Serene Soar through Memories: Exploring AER Memories of Old
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5)
AER Memories of Old takes players on a mesmerizing journey through a world of floating islands, ancient ruins, and a rich history waiting to be uncovered. With its unique blend of exploration, transformation, and contemplative storytelling, the game offers an enchanting experience that lets players soar above the clouds and dive into forgotten memories.
The game's visuals immediately captivate, presenting a beautifully crafted world of islands suspended in the sky. The art style is minimalist yet evocative, and the transition from one floating landmass to another feels seamless, creating a sense of continuous exploration. This visual elegance contributes to the game's tranquil and immersive atmosphere.
At the core of AER Memories of Old is the power to transform into a bird, allowing players to take to the skies and navigate the open world with a newfound freedom. This transformative ability is central to the game's exploration mechanics, enabling you to explore hidden areas, solve puzzles, and discover the secrets that the islands hold.
The game's narrative is told in a manner that encourages reflection and interpretation. The story unfolds in a non-linear fashion, with memories and snippets of lore scattered throughout the world. While this approach might not provide a traditional narrative structure, it adds a layer of depth and mystery that encourages players to piece together the history of the land.
AER Memories of Old shines in its ability to create a serene and meditative experience. The sensation of gliding through the sky, diving into forgotten chambers, and discovering hidden tales has a calming effect that sets it apart from more action-oriented games. The lack of combat further emphasizes the game's focus on exploration and discovery.
However, this lack of combat might also be a drawback for players seeking more diverse gameplay mechanics. While the game's intention is to deliver a contemplative experience, those looking for action-packed moments might find the pacing a bit slow.
The open-world exploration, while enchanting, might occasionally lead to moments of confusion as you attempt to navigate the islands. While this adds to the sense of adventure, it might frustrate players who prefer a more guided experience.
In conclusion, AER Memories of Old offers a serene and visually captivating experience that invites players to explore a world of floating islands and uncover forgotten stories. Its unique gameplay mechanics, tranquil atmosphere, and contemplative storytelling create an enchanting adventure that's perfect for players seeking a different kind of gaming experience. While the absence of combat and occasional navigation challenges might not resonate with all players, those who appreciate meditative exploration and the joy of soaring through the skies will find themselves immersed in the memories that this game has to offer.

Cute indiegame. The pros of the game was the amazing puzzles and the serene beauty of the art and music. Sadly the dialogue feels squished in and tries to be a bit more than it is at times.
Streamed on Monday.
