It’s a very small game with one simple mechanic – inverting gravity. You move, and instead of jumping you can switch between falling up or down. This extremely simple mechanic leads into so many unique levels, puzzles, and experiences over the course of more than 400 different rooms. The graphics are no more complex than they need to be, and in fact have an old school charm that is hard to match. The pure simplicity of the game allows it to avoid the pitfalls of more complex experiences, and then it builds on the really simple ideas to create ingenious and varied moments. Oh, and the sound track is absolutely phenomenal. My favorite part of the game (other than the music – it’s really really good, trust me) is probably the fact that it has layers of challenge that allow you to play the game to the challenge level you desire. On the base level it offers solid difficulty with numerous checkpoints so you can keep retrying very close to where you failed. Then it introduces collectibles that are optional, but a little more difficult to get. Following that it introduces portions of the game that are timed, compartmentalized, require you to avoid death or checkpoints, or other little tricks that make you realize there are extra feats of skill you can attempt to achieve if you so choose. I love that. You can stick to the base game, or you can easily retry challenges and the trickier stuff from the main menu. They also offer further time challenges and even the option of attempting the game without dying. An insane proposition of course, but for the hardcore VVVVVVers out there? It’s a great addition. Add this to the box of really competent indie games I would have never played if not for the great recommendations from the livestream. Thank you again, my fellow oranges!

Добротнейший платформер, достаточно механик, чтобы не заскучасть, незатянутый, для широкого круга игроков. Более казуальные ребята с интересом, но без жопной боли пройдут основной квест игры. Для любителей пощекотать причинное место есть "светящиеся штучки", на добычу которых может уйти несколько часов эфирного времени. Рекомендую. Про кастомки внутри игры: очень приятные, идут прямо вместе с игрой. По большей части сильно сложнее оригинальной игры. Иногда прямо до жопной боли. Но рекомендую тем, кому понравилась эта игра.
