The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow has a sense of place and a clear vision of what it wants to tell, and it takes the time needed to tell its story.
Thomasina is an interesting character, she doesn’t feel stereotyped and she’s also dealing with internal battles that makes her feel more real.
Once again, Wadjet Eye prove that they have indeed an eye for good stories and good games.

This game is an hidden gem, but it has some downs. The ending is a bit confusing and it left some things hanging, they didn't explain enough what that god was, neither they did show us what it looked like, it could have been a nice addition to this game. The writing is almost perfect, but there is a scene where Arthur Tillett explains the schemes of Panswyck and Shoulder to Thomasina, and even after he told her their schemes, she didn't question even for a second their plans and her plans, and I think that is a bit unnatural. Overall this game had to have more endings, and the only way I can "justify" them missing is by expecting a sequel, otherwise it is a missed chance to lert this game have more choices. The puzzles were great, could even be a little more difficult than it was, but they were nice. the music was really good and the graphics was a little too pixelled for my likings but it works in a whole, so not that much of a problem. This was a nice little game and I'm glad I've played this
