Soul Hackers 2 takes place in the 21st Century and is set during a war between the Yagaratsu and the Phantom Society, two opposing factions of Devil Summoners. The story follows two supernatural "Aion" beings named Ringo and Figue, who descend into the human world from their birthplace in the data stream of information, in order to avert a cataclysmic event that they predict will doom humanity

If you're a fan of Shin Megami Tensei games, but struggle with the demanding difficulty and unforgiveness, this game is for you. With the same world ending stakes and adult themes, Soul Hackers 2 is more upbeat in its story and game difficulty, making for a smoother experience. The game only has two endings, from what I understood, and you have to strive and maybe follow a guide from the beginning if you want to have the true/good ending, unless you're going to be stuck with the bad, bittersweet ending. Which is not bad, mind you, but feels like all your work goes without reward. Beautiful visuals, amazing soundtrack, the characters are a bit one liners surrounded by plot twists. I recommend this game as a short and light JRPG, but definitely with some space for improvements.

Fun turn-based and story-focused rpg. Not entirely unique or groundbreaking, but has a nostalgic charm, and lots of fun playstyles to try out

It's good! It lacks a bit of the depth and polish that you may expect from your typical top-shelf Atlus game, but it also doesn't over-stay its welcome. Lots of dungeon crawling, so beware if that's your least favorite aspect of the Megaten world.
My first devil summoner game i guess. i should try soul hackers 1.
Really fun game. Not the best in terms of SMT mechanics, but great characters, interesting story, and overall fun gameplay.
