I really enjoy playing Secrets of Grindea, despite some of its flaws. The game's unrestricted skill system allows for creative builds, and the combat is fluid and satisfying. The puzzles are challenging and require you to think outside the box, but the game's title is a nomen est omen, and you do have to grind a lot for items and cards. The 2D sprite visuals are good, with nice animations and some cool effects, although they do look a bit too much like a children's game at times. The story can be a bit cringey and mediocre, with some good characters but also some horrible meme characters that add nothing to the game. Seriously, if I wanted to deal with dead memes, I could just go on FaceBook. The soundtrack is pretty sweet tho, and the boss theme is a real bop. Despite being in development for almost 10 years, the game is still not released and finished. However, I still like it a lot, even though it can feel like a bit of a grindfest at times. As a fan of the game, I can't help but feel frustrated by the game's unfinished status and some of its flaws. Nonetheless, I keep coming back to it because I genuinely enjoy the gameplay and the challenge. It may not be perfect, but for me, it's a fun and engaging experience.
