Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil is a remaster of the original 2.5D platformer game, released for modern consoles with enhanced graphics. The game was bundled with Klonoa: Door to Phantomile in the Phantasy Reverie Series. This is actually the first time Lunatea's Veil has had any sort of rerelease since its debut on the PS2.

Not a huge improvement from the first.

Una muy gran secuela del primer juego que en mi opinión lo supera bastante tanto en historia como en diseño de niveles.
never finished it
Big Spoilers for a 25 year old game, I guess.
I finished one level many months before I came back to complete the rest of the game. When I came back, I finished the entire rest of the game in a day. I did play the game through the Phantasy Reverie Series, the remake collection with the first two games. As the second game compares to the first, the bosses are much easier, especially the final boss. Speaking of which, he does sort of appear out of nowhere. I find that his impact is a little diminished by his almost complete lack of presence until the final ten minutes of the game. What little was there, I really enjoyed, but he’s not properly built up at all. In the first game, Ghadius appeared throughout the entire game, and when you fought him, it was a culmination of built up through the whole story. Sure, he summons a big evil monster we’ve never seen before, but that monster is essentially an extension of his character. Nahatomb doesn’t have its own motivations. With the King of Sorrow, I just wish I got to know him a little better.
But as always, the aesthetics of Klonoa’s outings are impeccable. It’s really a feast for the eyes. Everything is charming, everything is colorful, everything is just packed to the brim with character. It’s got such a nice, defined art direction that really hits me with nostalgia despite never having really played any Klonoa games before. There is something inescapably pleasant about every area in Lunatea, and it really kept me looking forward to getting to the next level. Ishras Ark I found exceptionally notable in this regard. Getting flung around the level by cannons gives a lot of opportunities for these really nice, wide shots of the scenery.
I will say, this game has a particular fondness for snowboarding levels. A good fifth of the levels in the game are snowboarding levels, and that’s all well and good. They control fine, for the most part. There was never one that annoyed me as much as the Extra Vision or Chamber o’ Horror did, but if you’re looking for the collectibles, the snowboarding levels are pretty annoying. If you miss one, you can’t turn back around for it. I will say that part of the final boss battle was a snowboarding segment, and I didn’t think it added much to the experience. It didn’t really add any difficulty, and it was really hard for me to even make out what the character looked like in that section.
